Here I thought my patio carpet and branches enclosures were good enough. Leave it to Garrett to prove to us all that we can always do more for the animals....now, to get an ounce of that building talent from his pinky finger so I can keep up. Great vid! Thanks for sharing!
My obsession with snakes started on my grandma's farm. We caught garter snakes near a shed. I want to make a large barn enclosure like this someday for a group of Garters. Thanks Garrett!
This is still one of the most unique enclosures I've ever seen. I might have to see if I can convince friends to help me put something together for a milk snake.
Gotta be careful adding anything rigid that's too close to the screen top. I put in a foam background on the side of my first snake's exo-terra tank. I didn't realize he was able to shove his head into the gap between the top of the foam and the screen. He got stuck and wiggled his head around enough to get a minor wound on top of his head from the screen. That's the day I learned about povidone iodine.
So glad to see you get a chance to redo your build-off enclosure on your own timeframe. Loved your build-off build, and was great to see the thought process and build techniques that went along with building both. The windowsill with a UV basking light above, (in the enclosure, not behind the glass) so that it looked like they got “sunlight” from the window, would be cool. Would love to see more videos like this. Maybe a version for a hatchling, juvenile, and adult SD would be something you could work on (if you ever get the time with your already busy schedule).
Aw yiss I've been hoping you would share a rebuild video since the build off Ok also the rock wall looks absolutely awesome and I an just imagine a baby corn having the time of it's noodly little life crawling up between the rocks
I love it ... I like how you make it more modern like I find more snakes in my grandpa's barn and shed than I do in the wood on his property makes me definitely makes me rethink of a natural setup anyways awesome video and a kickass tank 👍🏻👍🏻🍻
This is awesome, and that's my way of creating...I let it 'speak' to me. I don't know where it's going until it's done. I love this. It doesn't have to be as big or just like your first one to be charming.
holy crapsticks that is just stunning - I'm pretty good with build theory but man there is no way I have the fine skills to do that... maybe I'll just try to talk Dad into helping build something for his grand-snake (yes he does call my boy his grand-snake) hmmm -- thanks for this, I'm going to bookmark it and show it to Dad next time I visit!!
Looks amazing 🤩 if you were to buy wood new for this sort of build would "Slow-grown untreated sawn timber that has been kiln-dried" be what your looking for?
This is fantastic! The last tank build in my house was inspired by Clint. I think the next may follow in this vein! I love that it's not "precise" in measurement.
I enjoyed that build as much as the Snake Discovery build, plus we got to see more of the work with this one. Can't wait to see what you do in the new building with those mad skills of yours. GOD BLESS 🐍💖🐍💖🐍💖
Probably a question for the live...Where/when/how did u learn the skills for the build? PS had an old video come up and I actually miss the old intro music
Back in my childhood these were all required skills. I actually got flashbacks about building treehouses watching this video. Although we didn't have any of the power tools.....
Don't know if that's a exo terra, looks like it, first appearance of those enclosures is very neat, but when you want to do with it, its always a lot of problems getting it in, and then keeping it warm or humid is a disaster.

Absolutely phenomenal! Time to get TH-cam certified in copper soldering! 🙌

Best video on youtube
Love it!! It helps to have a mechanical mind, mad skills, and familiarity with power tools.
This is still one of the most unique enclosures I've ever seen. I might have to see if I can convince friends to help me put something together for a milk snake.
That would be perfect
I so wanted Garrett to draw a snake on the basking shelf while he explained the plan. Great video!

Yikes! Good point! We add silicone around all gaps to fill them in.
Renaissance man. I loved this.
That came out as awesome as the build off one.
Very nice! I'll take 10 of them. :>) I still think a corn snake would look perfect in there.
Epic enclosure build 😎 👌
All I know is when I get my super dwarf from you I’m going to have you make me a bigger version of that!

Perfect for corn snakes, black rat snakes, and eastern/red milksnakes.
I loved this one
That is so freaking awesome! Garrett you have such a beautiful mind!
Man, I couldn't of asked for a better video. Thanks you're truly an inspiration.

i really appreciate the non naturalistic takes on these. imo everything doesnt have to look like a cave or a forest.
reptiles across the world agree because they are often found in barns and tool sheds.
@@amandastakeonit7402 very true
Idk how I missed this vid, but that was incredible! What a labor of love & a gorgeous build!
Love the reclaimed wood look it’s so nice
Looks good Garrett. That would fit right in here.
What a good look'n enclosure Garrett you are a jack of alot of trades and the master of SD's!

The only difference between Garrett and Michelangelo is that Michelangelo used Marble instead of Pallet wood
Yay!!! The first build was really cool!
I freaking love this idea I’m doing one!

Really cool Garret!! I love soldering.

Awesome design, tho I will say that soldering made me cringe 🤣
Lol, Yeah that wasn’t my best work
👍❤
