Thank you for a new video Cheerio, I can totally tell something changed in you because this video it's different and feels really good to watch it. Oscar seems to be having fun with you guys, wish you the best in your journey and hope to see more content!
Thanks for your feedback! It’s funny that other people also notice that something has changed. Can’t figure out what it is, but there is definitely change! Had a lot of time to see, think & ponder.
glad to hear things are ok. i was a bit concerned after not seeing a video upload for some time. I'm on a long tour myself and i know how the path forward often doesn't turn in the direction you expect! in any case, have fun and stay safe!
I Just fell on your video, its very nice. You are living something hard but very fullfilling. Friendship is beautifull and important in that world! Ben safe! The poppy is so cute 😍
Thank you so much for continuing to share your adventure with us, you're such an inspiration to other women. Excellent storytelling, too, it's a privilege to follow Giant Cheerio. - So it's three of you now... :-) :-) :-)
Brilliant filmmaking so good to get an insight into travelling east the sights you’ve seen the people you’ve met and the difference in cultures along the way looking forward to your next episode and of course more of Oscar 👍safe travels
Great to have you back! Great video. Yes, life has a way of getting real now and then. In the 90s I'd often pass through Eastern Europe by touring bike on my way from Western Europe to Greece or Israel. My first time crossing was in '92 when Serbia was attempting to hold on to Bosnia, so I found myself in Serbia while my country ( through Nato) was at war with Serbia. That was weird! A fellow American ( Bobby Fischer) was in Serbia during this same period to play a chess tournament and was punished by being barred from returning, since travel in Serbia was not allowed then. I think he resettled in Iceland. No such fate awaited me since I wasn't famous. Obscurity has its rewards.
Your videography has improved considerably! Did you take a video course? Can you tell me how you managed to cross from Georgia to Armenia? Take care we are always waiting for you next video. John and family
Wow, the fact that a detour brought you and Oscar together is truly astonishing! ✨Can't wait to witness more of your journey meeting Oscar in the next video!🐶🐕
Hi cheerio. First of all, thank you for sharing your journey with us. And second, thank you for sharing the attacks on the Armenians in Nagorno-Karabakh and giving some insights as how it felt riding through Armenia during that time.❤ Also, I like the format you came up with whilst editing this video. It feels more like a documentation rather than a vlog and personally I think that's a good thing. Anyway, keep doing what you seem to love and I'm curious what's more to come.
Thanks for your words! I wanted to bring up the conflict as it was a major aspect of the journey and to be honest, before cycling through Armenia I didn’t have any clue of what was going on
Vielen Dank für das tolle Video! Ich freu mich schon auf die nächste Folge mit dem Hündchen 😍 Darf ich fragen, was für eine Tasche du vorne am Rad hast? Das sieht mega praktisch aus.
Wohoo, your back. Good to see. Nice video. I plan to do a circle of Scotland this year, and have a TailFin Rack. I'm sure it will be fine if Timo can ride all the way to Armenia on his. I am able to ride for days at a low-moderate effort. However, a moderate-high effort for even half an hour will cause a bought of chronic fatigue lasting over a week. Was wondering how do you prevent fatigue? Do you just trundle along at a gentle pase?
The tail fin did a good job. In the end I think it was the bumpy roads and heavy loading that killed it. We don’t do much to prevent fatigue. Trying to eat healthy, go to bed early and listen to the body. When I feel like stopping for a couple of days to rest I just do so;)
As a Kurdish-Armenian person from Northern Kurdistan (Southeastern Turkey), I am deeply touched to see you cycling through Kurdistan. Your journey is not only an adventure but also a powerful act of education and connection. The way you share the beauty and struggles of our land resonates deeply with me and fills me with hope. Thank you for shining a light on our culture, history, and people, and for doing so with such compassion and dedication. Wishing you all the best on your journey. Stay safe and keep inspiring others with your incredible work. Warm regards from Sweden.
Sadly at the moment there are Countries where you can too easily be dragged into something NOT of your understanding or making. In some you presence can lead to becoming a hostage of the state. Worth being very cautious choosing to go or not to go to these even if your passport says you’re not from countries where hate persists. Follow your national government advice of travelling or NOT. If you go and nothing happens it’s a bonus, but if you’re detained then you can be there 10 years.
Oh gosh I've started to laugh like I'm crazy when I saw Oscar. A few years ago all of a sudden I've had a cat named Matthew. And you know what? I am not a traveller anymore. Hope you got rid of that little devil.
You're definitely doing the right thing! I am just starting to get back to cycling, and people I used to cycle with have, in their own words, become too old or unfit, or don' t want to do it anymore.😢 So back on my own. Don't wait to do things with unreliable ex-comrades!😂😅
Hey How are you guys ? I'm Living in Iran and you are welcome to visit us and if you ever need any help I will be more than happy to help you , Stay safe :)
Wow what a journey. Very brave to travel in Iran during the Ukraine - Russia war. As you know Germany and Iran supply weapons to the opposite sides. I hope all the best on your journey.

@@KaushikNSanji Thank you! No. I did not post any links and I did not comment any other video since days. I just tried to give some ideas with what materials a roadside repair of a rack can be done really sturdy/long lasting.
Really enjoy your videos. However, you simply can not ignore politics for the sake of travelling. And, no offence, but when the German government supports the genocide in Palestine and the bombing of Iran, it's unfortunate that innocent people will get caught in the crossfire. Stay safe, whatever you decide.
It’s true that you cannot ignore politics while traveling. When we got closer to the border of Iran in 2023 things started happening and we really had to question our choices. What I’ve learned so far is that in many countries people do not represent their government, no matter what county you go to.
@giantcheerio Thanks for your reply. You're absolutely right. However, people like you will bring cultures together. The world needs more giantcheerios. Keep up the amazing work you do. 👏

Such a wonderful video in so many different layers to me! Thank you so much for your creativity, courage, responsibility and love.

Yes, but they sent a replacement rack so quickly. I've never seen a replacement part arrive that fast ever !
