While on a smaller scale, this reminds me of my day spent on Lake Minnetonka this past Wednesday. Beautiful weather, great running from the boat, a good lunch, and not being "in the workshop".
Nice trawler i came up from woy woy to to swansee on a 27 ft timber displacement boat up to new mooring on the upper lake cruised up by myself fantastic experience weather was good at 6 knots
All work no play makes Jack a dull boy. It's good to see you out having a break from working on boats and actually getting out and enjoying one for a change. Beautiful scenery out there.
Well Master Fisherman Stu; That was a TRIP! Couldn't understand half of what Dave said so I flipped on the Google translate; What a HOOT! Completely bonkers translation: At 6:21: "...Behalf of bugs or you buy a Riviera hundred grand banks if you go into that score above..." Bugs are Boats by the way... It was great to see Eddie! Thanks for another interesting video, be well.
That was a flat sea. You were so lucky to score that two days in a row. And a good video to promote boating and what can be done other than just fishing. Nice video.
You all prolly dont care but does any of you know a trick to get back into an Instagram account? I was stupid lost my account password. I appreciate any tricks you can give me
@Roman Jaxx thanks so much for your reply. I got to the site through google and im in the hacking process atm. Seems to take a while so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
Thank you. Thay gives me a direction to start researching. The scuppers dropped closer to the water line when I hung a heavier 4 stroke on the back. Now the deck is always wet. Plus, I never entirely believe a deck can be "water tight" ;)
That blimp flys over the whole of Sydney! Camden, campbelltown, Liverpool, everywhere!!!! It's free too fly on it, only downside is you are stuck up there for 8 hours
Wow, there's a Camden in Australia too. Didn't know that. I'm in the US and the only Camden I've seen is Camden NJ where I grew up 10 minutes from. Not a nice place very dangerous. I bet your Camden is a much better place.
Hello Stu, well You did the "fishing video" that I asked about ! I was waiting for something big to bite your line and for you to have a go. You live in a nice area. It was nice to see what it looks like down there. It is spring up here and my boat has been running well. Watch out for that rum, it does bite! As Captain Jack says. "why is the rum always gone?" Go get yourself a fishing pole, some hooks and bait and relax down by your dock. Doug from New jersey
+Doug Bryer Hey Doug, I thought it was about time I shared my expertise in fishing. ;) Actually, I have a pole that was my wife's fathers. It's a really nice old one that we found when we were cleaning up his shed after he died. Very soon I plan to get a reel for it and give it a new lease on life. Enjoy the spring! :)
Nice to see where you do your boating. Wish I could take Fridays off and drink beer all day but we're too busy to do that! I'll have to get some video of where I do my boating so I can share with you.
Stu,I am very envious of you on that boat trip,if you or your mates need a very inexperienced deck hand,I am your man.I do like a drink though.Regards Mate.
This looks like a good place to ask: I have a 19 for welded aluminum fishing boat with a self bailing deck. I would like to change it over to a bilge pump and drain plug. Have you ever done anything like that? If so, is there an episode? Thanks. Absolutely love your channel. I spent 6 months in Australia as a college student around 2005 and loved it. Tasmania was my favorite. Would like to return.
Haven't got a video on it, but I do have a friend with a similar setup. He drilled a small 1 inch hole and put a hose down into it. An electric bilge pump won't self primer though so he put a hand pump in to draw water out of the bilge. The other option it to cut a larger inspection hatch which might be a better way to go.
Looks good, I just snapped a bolt in the mount case on my Honda 150 motor, any chance of doing a video on how to extract broken bolts? Its a pretty small bolt, 6mm.
+Ken Sun Ah yes, this is a very common thing with outboard motors unfortunately. Doing that vid has been on my list for a while so I'll try to get to it this week.
+Dangar Marine its interesting how far it travelled and still maintained density all the way to Sydney, I saw the burn off at leura, a little less than 100km from Sydney! I scuba dive a lot around Sydney, in the harbour as well, its pretty cool what you can find that's fallen off boats, the avatar photo was taken at shelly beach manly, awesome diving there to see the wild life, but i mainly spearfish and free dive, which i do up and down nsw mostly. I have almost finished my boat project too (just about to register it) so hopefully I might bump into you somewhere along the Hawkesbury river soon!
+Kristian kristian.johan@live.no Hi Kristian. I'll hopefully be installing a new outboard on my board soon, so when I do I'll go through the full install including wiring up the tacho.
But you also need to consider that he has spend at least another $150K on top of the purchase price to get it where it is now and the engine hasn't been reconditioned yet.
@@DangarMarine I didn't realize he had done all the upgrades yet. Yea, Renko sounds like a steal now ;) Im old enough to remember when 100k bought a really nice house in California, lol.
You're all becoming quite the trawler fleet. Really enjoy the videos. Keep em coming. Thanks!
Thanks, will do!
While on a smaller scale, this reminds me of my day spent on Lake Minnetonka this past Wednesday. Beautiful weather, great running from the boat, a good lunch, and not being "in the workshop".
There's nothing quite like a day out on the water. :)
you now know everything I know about fishing! priceless! thank God for rainy days to catch up on the Dangar Marine vids!!
Rainy days and TH-cam are made for each other. :)

That's what its all about - enjoying the sunshine on the water with a few friends, well done.
Too right, mate. :)
Ah ha! I found it! The birth of the notorious intro video.
That was a flat sea. You were so lucky to score that two days in a row. And a good video to promote boating and what can be done other than just fishing. Nice video.
Yeah, we were really lucky that trip. The boat would easily handle a bit of a sea but it was nice to have such a comfortable trip. :)
You all prolly dont care but does any of you know a trick to get back into an Instagram account?

@Louis Kyler Instablaster ;)
@Roman Jaxx thanks so much for your reply. I got to the site through google and im in the hacking process atm.

@Roman Jaxx It worked and I finally got access to my account again. Im so happy:D
Thanks so much, you really help me out!

Looked like a fun trip.
Hi Stu, looks like you had a great weekend out on the water. Good to see your mate listens to decent music too ;)
+Matthew Moses Thanks Matthew, it was a fun trip. :)
That blimp flys over the whole of Sydney! Camden, campbelltown, Liverpool, everywhere!!!! It's free too fly on it, only downside is you are stuck up there for 8 hours
+daniel martin Hey Dan, I thought it had been sent out there to welcome us home! ;)
+Dangar Marine well if you look at it that way then I suppose it was there to welcome you!!!!
Wow, there's a Camden in Australia too. Didn't know that. I'm in the US and the only Camden I've seen is Camden NJ where I grew up 10 minutes from. Not a nice place very dangerous. I bet your Camden is a much better place.
What an Exciting place to live.....
+Cary Hawes We can't complain, it is a nice place.
Great video Stu.
Nice relaxing one for you mate. The sea conditions looked great to be out there.
+Fabian Sosa Hey Fabian, it was so amazingly calm, we couldn't have asked for better.

I'll keep that in mind! Thinking of having a channel meet up on Sydney Harbour some time over the summer.
Great vlog Stu, but u've got so much better in front of the camera😁
Great video
Port Jackson, Worlds best port!
Love it JJJ
Thanks Chris!
Can see where you first got the ideal of getting your own trawler here, Or has the ideal been floating around longer?

All I can say is YOU LUCKY BUGGER.
LOL. It was a nice day out. :)
More Trip vids plz
saw the red glow of that hazard reduction from my back yard up in the mountains
+GOLDENXD8 It must have been a big one. I'm our local RFS brigade here and we do a few on the river but that smoke came from a long way!
+GOLDENXD8 Also, I see you have a diving avatar. Whereabouts to do you go diving?
+Dangar Marine its interesting how far it travelled and still maintained density all the way to Sydney, I saw the burn off at leura, a little less than 100km from Sydney! I do need to learn some good dive spots off sydney. Pick me up from Dangar one day and we'll go for a ride. ;)
+Dangar Marine sounds good! ill have to take you out diving to some of Sydney's best spots, ill pm you when my boat is ready :)
Great Video.
How many weeks ahead did it take to order two perfect days? Beautiful! Hope you had a great time! I enjoyed watching!
We were lucky!
Ahaa there you go Stu. It's a Detroit 8-92 so 736 cubic inches ( Shit that's a 12 litre donk ?? ) Can that be right ?
I think it is. Surprisingly it doesn't use that much fuel either!
So I think I can hear Detroit Diesel power in Rosie as well?
hey! @dangar marine, could u do a tutorial on how to connect tachometer? (RPM) i have an 40 autolube with 703 control. but i cant get it to work...
+Kristian kristian.johan@live.no Hi Kristian. I'll hopefully be installing a new outboard on my board soon, so when I do I'll go through the full install including wiring up the tacho.
thanks!
Is the boat engine that loud or was it just the mic?
Mic for some reason do seem to pick up background noise a lot.
This is the video that caused you to go to the big steel boat.
LOL, pretty much. :)
As much as I'd love your mates big boat i'm a bit more realistic and that boat Rosie is the exact size and type i'd love to own
I would say 60k for that Trawler is a much better deal than spending 100k on Renko.
But you also need to consider that he has spend at least another $150K on top of the purchase price to get it where it is now and the engine hasn't been reconditioned yet.
