I like the simplicity of the solution. It should be far, far cheaper to build this than to pay for the overpriced offerings on Amazon and eBay. I would like to see part numbers and sources, especially for the switch box.
I chose a plastic casing that was available in an electronic store, I drilled the holes myself. Switches must be 3-stage 6 terminals , i.e. 1-0-1 for safety, I chose medium quality and used a connection for pins, it would be better to solder, I was going to do that, but in the end I left it as it is. I think the cable I used was silver-plated QED. I see a lot of people asking for a diagram. I don't have one, it will sound funny, but when I had all the parts, everything fell into place as it should. Box- "Project Box Plastic Case Enclosure with Vent Slots 171x178x67.6MM KE1AV" Switch -" Heschen Metal Toggle Switch, C523A, DPDT, Maintained, ON/OFF/ON 3 position, 15A 250VAC, 6 Tab Terminal, CE"
I am using the 3 way switches as yours for a few years but couldn't find a box to host them. The switches just lie on the floor and wires are directly connected to the switches without a back panel for sure. Could you please tell me where you got the box? I tried a very hard cardbox but cardboards don't take drilling well - plus I used a larger drill bit by accident and ruined the box. Thank you!
May I know why you didnt use a 4pdf switch instead? Also is there any deterioration in sound since these switches might add resistance in the sound path? I'm in the process of building one as well, still work in progress. Cheers!
I do not see the difference in sound with this audio set I have. It would certainly be noticeable in hi end audio. I use 3 way switch, one for L channel one R channel.

I would appreciate a wiring schematic!
well done!! are the switches 2way or 3way? seems to be a center position
1-0-1 center is off for safety
Err question...
WHY did you not just get a 12 pot switch instead of 2 6's???
Would have made this and the operation FAR simpler !!

hi there fantastic job is any chance you can upload diagram and list of parts what you used for that project please
Hi Marcin Sobczak did you figure that diagram or the arrangement of wires...its just not clear enough in the video

How did you join 8 cables to the amp switch ?
2 out cables L speaker, 2 out R speaker, 2 in from Amp and 2 in from Home Cinema Amp. Hope is clear now.I use 3-way switches.
Ahh no!
