It's funny how memory works. For some reason, this song always reminds me of this day when my parents, sis and I just moved from our grandparents house to a home of our own. An early 2000s saturday afternoon, our things still not completely unpacked, and my dad being all 'gourmet' cooking for the first time some incredible steak cordon bleu for all of us, and this song playing on the tv. Right now he lives in another city and has a new family, although he's still a very loving dad, but this song always puts me again in that living room, with the bright 2pm summer sun on a saturday, filling everything up, and we're all 4 together and magically happy again. And my sister has the exact same recollection everytime we hear this song.
Lost & found it is amazing how hearing a certain song can immediately put us right back in a particular moment and remember every detail so vividly, make us feel like we are right there again! I have certain songs that do the same thing to me, gotta love music!!

This song is so perfect to play on your car radio or ear while on a long drive on a stretch of a countryside road with your top down car on a bright sunny day with a moderate breeze of air brushing your hair🥰. Now that's what I call road and sound trippin'.
I respect Natalie alot. She worked her career into the difficult job of walking that dangerous very thin line of pop comerciality and keeping numbers up and trying to remain arty and indie and keeping artistic integrity. She has managed it flawlessly with gems like this, Shiver and Smoke with some fantastic albums along the way too. This is one of the most poppiest things she did and it's still rather brilliant.
Agree 100%.. especially this album.. so beautiful and bohemian with a little pop like this one.. I find her so authentic and sincere..my faves are some of the B sides from this album, especially Shikaiya...
Natalie Imbruglia deserved to be a much bigger star than she is. She wrote some lovely pop songs and has a sublime voice. I hope one day her talent will be recognised as much more than just 'Torn'.
