Well are you dressed in drag when you are misgendrred or are you dressed not in drag? Yes it matters especially if it wasn't done I a malicious manner because in drag you're a hot girl! Even if it was done on purpose no reason to get in a physical altercation because you never know what kinda cops are gonna get called and you're Grandma doesn't need to be throwing down. She's the coolest 🫶🏻👍🏻 When I worked in retail we had either a drag queen or a man in transition to becoming a woman- they had a 5 o'clock shadow at 11am. I only misgendered them once and it was in like 2003/2004, when they/them pronouns weren't really used. I politely called them Sir because I noticed the stubble and Adam's apple, but I immediately felt bad because at 2nd look they were really trying to be a female presenting and said "sorry" they were understanding; not like the meme of the raging "Sir-Ma'am- Sir" in Game Stop. I used quotation marks because HE was looking for attention acting like a guerilla juice head in a dress and a wig. BUT my customer was a regular & Every time after that I addressed them as Ma'am and they always smiled. My co-workers mostly weren't as forward thinking as me and always asked why give them guy in a dress satisfaction. I tried to explain to them the process of transitioning, but they thought it was weird and didn't want to be bothered learning about people and other ways of life.
Take the Win and walk.
