Dude Chris you’re nominated for best in editing because you go to directly to the source material and weave a story with good visual references. Hope you win!
Went to New York for the first time after being obsessed with it from afar growing up reading Marvel. Went 3 times in the last 2 years. Mostly went looking for comic book and movie stuff each time. Saw the apartment the Sanctum was inspired by on Bleecker street. The Parker house, Pete's apartment, the Osborn apartment and Roosevelt island with the sky tram from the Rami films. The museum the Fricker collection is in on 5th Ave (i think, facing Central Park) it was Stan Lee's inspiration for the Avenger's Mansion.
I say it every week. Still my favourite weekly TH-cam show . If only I wasn't in another timezone and could join the live 😂. Great work Chris. 🫡 salute from Scotland 😊
Just gotta say, this is SO much more entertaining with you having someone to bounce off of ! Definitely a lot more engaging I think! And my white whale is to get a spidey 2099 #1 signed by Rick Leonardi!
I think AVA is a full 42 pages (excluding ads); I was also balking at the price but I thoroughly enjoyed the issue and counted the pages. Since I'm willing to pay $4 for a standard sized issue, $8 for an almost double is fine. One could fairly argue $4 per issue is too much, and since you're still ultimately only getting one physical product $6 or $7 might be more appropriate, but it eased some of my concern with that price point when I did the count as a reality check
Wakanda has a whole intergalactic empire. I promise they have more than a few fleet of spaceships lol. It was seeded at the end of Hickman's Secret Wars and explored in the run by Coates. I thought it was super dope as he had T'Challa be a slave trying to regain his memory as he joins the rebels against the ruling class ran by someone in a Black Panther symbiote suit that resembled the MCU Killmonger.
1:31:37 I live in Brevard County, I am a college student (online classes), but my sister and brother go to school here (middle and high school respectively). This pisses me off immensely. My niece is three years old, and will probably be going to school here in Brevard. It makes me very angry to think that she might grow up in a world that is still filled to the brim with hatred and bigotry.
Your missing out on soke really cool dc books right now haha should check them out if you have time. The zatanna black label book and the flash book are soo good
2:25:45 - that would be gut wrenching as a person to see parts of his fathers body in a bin with other corpses. I guess it could feel that way seeing the parts of your father on a reanimated corps also. It's going to be crazy if he can see parts of his father within Frankensteins persona, and if they go in the direction you see, it could be a must read.
I only read the first 3 or 4 issues of "The Sacrificers" and I hope it doesn't fall off because it seemed like it was well on its way to being an all time great if it could tell a great story with that premise - could be a must have story/book....

Great guest, Sals one of my Favorites
Thanks for highlighting the CBC Awards!
50:43 I've always wondered how a store like Newbury Comics had their own variants
Absolutely fantastic episode loved seeing my two favourite TH-camrs hanging out!

These two are really great together! Honestly should consider doing a regular show! 👍
Chris great show, great content. Always looking forward to the stream Monday nights. Couldn't' agree more on Fantastic Four it's a great run.
Who else is going to Baltimore?
Great show as always, Chris!

Last Mermaid issue 6 was my pick of the week. Great. Book.
What is this, a crossover? 🤩🤩🤩
Hey Yall
I enjoyed White Boat #1 by DSTLRY
No one remembers T2:3D
Gen X’er here and Grommets is nostalgia candy. And yes, Last Mermaid just keeps getting better. Congrats on the nominations Chris and Sal.
A Sal and Chris news show is what I need in my life all the time
