One side-note: I played the Joker MU for hours the other day, and in that MU especially vs Arsene, you're gonna wanna mix between jumping first when recovering low and up-b'ing first. If he goes for counter, you'll jump through it, and if he goes for dair you'll beat it with up-b if done properly. It's kinda a very annoying 50/50. That MU is HARD. Was one of the hardest parts of that MU for me to deal with.
Recovery against joker really makes you think hard. Few thing I like about this MU is that joker (usually) closes space for you so you don’t have to approach because he mostly has nothing to gain for spamming gun. And, his moves are quite weak so heaven’s door and glourious demon god fist armor through them easily if you get a read
While it sounds like it’s a good option in many situations, up b catches onto ledge much better and covers attemps of gimping attempts. I have stage spiked so many people with UpB when they have tried to come at me off ledge. But as someone mentioned, UpBing first against counter users such as Joker is actually very good trick to get around being killed easily, which I didn’t think about
Bro i cant stop watching ur damn videos, they're just so good. I dont even plan on playing kazyua that much but this is still a much needed guide. Cheers man! Also the sf alpha style intro made me fucking swoon.
Quick suggestions for future vids. Would you consider adding timestamps to your description for specific concepts in your guide? Also, will you share what music you're playing through the video? Great guide overall. Keep it up!
Good video. Some other good options: Crouch dash off of ledge into either down-b, reflect (against projectile characters), Gates of Hell (super good against players who like to shield on ledge. Especially if they're at higher % or have a bad recovery cuz they'll straight up just die). Inputting Rage Art off of ledge has won me so many games as well.
Kazuya main here, after getting camped out by a Palutena with 4.5k hours that only spammed full hop back air, roll, and autoreticle. For fucks sake these GSP warriors on quickplay are driving me insane. Even when I go to arena mode if I play Ken, Ryu, or Kazuya everyone one and dones or disconnects mid match. Whether it's modern gamers or the smash community it's honestly pathetic, I just want to play the game. I dont care if I lose just interact at least
Amazing
this guide feels so professional, super amazed how good this looks, keep it up man!

That intro is actually godlike
Really complete guide, glad people realized how useful upB is before jumping
Nice use of the marvel super heroes vs street fighter chun li theme. So underrated
FINALLY SOMEONE SAID IT. I've been up b-ing to recover first since he came out, and never saw anyone else do that

Never thought about up b as better than double-jumping in disadvantage. Really enjoyed the video 👍

Thanks for this! I just pocket kazuya and this helps a lot.
Youre the best. I dont use these fabulous characters, but for just seeing your intro... You're the Best

Rage drive just tears through a lot of character’s ledge traps, love that move
good video cant wait for my next local :D
thank you ronin!
Great info
Fantastic as always, thanks again Ronin! Just in time for my first local since COVID began ^^
Wow! That’s a sick intro!
This guide is perfect, thanks men, i need it e.e
Yoooooooo!!
God like intro!!!
Yeah baby
I'm not really bad as kazuya right now but I'm watching everything I can to find new info about him
The Up special is much safer recovering too ledge with than a double jump no doubt, otherwise i agree with your statement
Out of curiosity: What song is playing in the background?
So do you roll to ledge then side b or jump then side b? On ledge?
great video, the music was a bit loud tho hard to hear what you were saying
Who made that intro! Pls I need to know!!
Who made that intro!
Down b in air... gold
