Only car people use manual transmissions lol. If the car isn't modified, or isn't really really old, it's automatic. It's so bad to the point that new cars don't even have the option for manual anymore

Ex car thief here, go with Grandads recommendations. A thief looking to just take the easiest vehicle will never bother with a car with steering wheel locks etc. That being said...if your car is the specific one they want then they will make every effort to get it, so use a hidden after-market immobiliser. Even a hidden switch wired-up by an auto-electrician will work fantastically

I like how the thief guys keep doing the barrel rolls to get to those cars even with the cop car just show up.

-turn off engine, lock car, don't leave valuable things near the door like car keys, always lock the doors, and always keep your windows or doors locked while driving
-car customization
-after parking, steer the wheels to a sharp angle to make it hard to tow away
-gps
-security stuff like alarms cameras GPS, etc.
Hi, are you able to suggest any solution to unlocking your car with your child in it, if youve accidently left your keys in the boot just as you put your shopping in the boot ? Nightmare scenario...hasnt happened to me but spare keys can't be the only solution. Fire brigades, brilliant as they are, may get stuck in traffic... surely there must be a clever way to get into the car to save your child. A child was saved in the nick of time by the fire brigade by smashing a back window, just as the toddler was about to put a 50p coin in his mouth...
Keys are such a nuisance...can be stolen, copied, lost. Emergencies require immediate solutions..im asking your ideas if poss...please see my comments just done here..

@@anjou6497 oh you can utilize a homemade remote electronic device to unlock the car with your phone, idk pay a programmer out there to program the device so you can open the car anytime you want using some connection, and the device activates a motor to simply just unlock the doors... idk

I usually warn people not to leave the key in the ignition.
I put a hidden kills witch in my cars I wire it to the fuel pump. Plus I use a lock tite. The only way someone could take it is if they broke that and put it on a tow truck. You can do this with any car old or new if you understand how a switch works. Just look up what fuse goes to the fuel pump.

For me? Who needs a guard dog when u have a guard neighbor. 👁👄👁 I'm serious everyday he checks on or property when cars pull in. He is a family friend tho. And he is an actual wholesome person, he is not sketchy, but a neighbor who cares.

Keep car documents in your trousers pocket. Never leave the keys while coming out of the car. Lock all windows and doors and check for lights are off with a quick look. But thieves can definitely break open while we are away.
