Great video and product, Jose. Thank you. I haven't dived to deeply yet, so you may have already addressed this, but can you buy volumes of the Lucia ink from Canon? Not sure I want to use any old brand to refill as the pigments are supposed to be very high quality. But perhaps I am wrong. Thanks. Any info appreciated. Love you videos!
Very interesting! I just ordered the precision v2 setup so I'll be deploying that. Jose, a quick question - at the 4:30 mark you mention a video where you insert the cardboard - do you have a link to that one? You have so many amazing videos you've updated and I've watched so many that I can't remember which one. The viewport method certainly looks like alot of work upfront drilling all the holes and cleaning it, but maybe once it's done, it's a one time thing and you're good to go.
Why doesn't anyone just do like a tub and hose like method and increase the capacity of the cartridge? Has this been attempted? I imagine it could be a huge disaster if it breaks lose, but could be worth it. Just have gravity keep the cartridge filled. Kind of like how a iv works in hospitals.
Why not just glue a small piece of clear acrylic on the tank instead of buying a kit like that? (For a non-expensive version of the "ink monitoring solution")
A most interesting "solution" to ink levels. I'm in the UK and have recently moved from an Epson 3800 refillable system to the Canon PRO1000, and have been looking into refill options for the Canon. Do you happen to know if genuine Canon ink can be purchased in bulk in the UK? I think I picked up from one of your videos that genuine Canon ink can be purchased in the US. Many thanks
You just buy larger tanks such as for the Pro2100. All the printers in that series use the same colors and formulations. You have to then extract the inks from those big carts and fill your smaller Pro1000 carts with them
Wouldn't it be nice if Canon came out with an ECO-TANK version of this printer, rather than a cartridge type? Even in the dye ink world, cartridges are becoming a thing of the past. Do you know of any such plans that Canon might have on the horizon? Life would become so much easier, right? ...and possibly more inexpensive.

José, no es más facil fabricar cartuchos transparentes con chips compatibles asi como los cartuchos de la canon pro 100 en lugar de hacer todo eso???

I still prefer the precision color ink monitoring system.
