कार्तिक शुक्ल पक्ष की नवमी को आंवले के पेड़ की पूजा होने से इसे आंवला नवमी के नाम से भी पुकारते हैं।नवमी से लेकर पूर्णिमा तक भगवान विष्णु का आवंले के पेड़ पर वास रहता है।संतान प्राप्‍त‍ि के ल‍िए इस द‍िन आंवले के पेड़ की व‍िध‍िव‍िधान से पूजा व व्रत करना फलदायी होता है। इसके अलावा आंवले के पेड़ के नीचे पूजन के बाद प्रसाद ग्रहण करना और आंवला चखना शुभ माना जाता है। मान्‍यता है क‍ि आंवले के पेड़ के पूजन से जीवन से दूख व सारे रोग दूर होते हैं।
