Lonach Gathering 2017 - Massed Pipe Bands & Highlanders afternoon games field parade in 4K

- The massed pipe bands lead the Lonach Highlanders around the arena at 3pm for a grand display during the 2017 Lonach Highland Games in Bellabeg, Strathdon, Scotland. The pipe bands are the Lonach Pipe Band, Ballater & District Pipe Band, Towie & District Pipe Band and Huntly Pipe Band, with Drum Majors Bert Summers, Bill Barclay & Derek Dean.
It's really nice seeing my grandfather leading the horse now, after his passing a few years ago. It brings tears of happiness.
The sound of the pipes gets your heart a pumping & the hairs on the back of your neck raising.Just the best sound ever !!!!!
I know they're wasn't a Noble prize back then but who ever created bagpipes should be awarded one posthumously.
I love this! I am from the USA and this is just priceless! Guess it is my Scottish ancestors calling me back.
The little lads and ladies are the future. We need to support and encourage them in heritage and history.

For many years I went to lonach with my grandparents and great grandmother such fond memories after my great grandmother passed away I asked my grandmother if we would be going to lonach that year she said no as it wasn’t the same

Totally love this ceremonial stuff and the Brits are great at it but nobody does is better than the Scottish arm. My country has this gaping hole in its structure and that is from its flight from the wonderful drill and ceremony we learned from Briton.

riotagus.......haggis is only in season for 2 short weeks in scotland........they only come out their hiding places when the weather is above a certain temperature and they are so quick at running - little buggers to catch so are therefore limited in quantity.........wouldnt be enough to sell at a highland games LOL
