I believe that now Daiwa has overtaken the saltwater spinning reel with this new Saltiga model. The colors look like a Shimano Stella but when you get close it is a Daiwa Saltiga with all the mag seal, , new monocoque cranking gear, and drag power all in one. Go DAIWA!!!
Nice one, I'm glad they upped the sound of the new tiga, hope they roll it across all future bluewater reels. Really helps you know what the fish is doing with 100 other distractions/elements occurring simultaneously.
begining of the first cast youhad small green lure..but when you pulled the Travelly up was a white large Lure ..and the color of the water was darker blue
Great video!!! I love Saltiga and I am interested on get one of this new reel. However, on older Saltiga models (2015, 2010 and Z), the paint is not completely corrosion resistant, despite washing the reel with freshwater after each fishery, with a little time of use they begin some blisters pop up and the paint peels off. I would like to know if the same thing happens in the 2020 model.
@@1PricelessShot I don't think wiping with damped cloth will be able to remove the salt stucked in spots on older saltiga lol. That's even worse than paint peeling off coz u will prolly get corrosion by not washing the reel hahaha
No man is right never wash your reels only wipe them with a wet tower although they are mag shiled and good quality they are not meant for water I mean washing everytime if u have a tough rogue wave make everything wet or travel with speed and the splashes go on your reel yes put some water if the conditions are good only wet towel only twice I washed my reel and is as new 1 year now daiwa saltist next year I go for saltiga mq I guess this year took zenaq sonio :p rg guides plus I have a boat too so many techniques many rods and lures much money to spend :/
It's cool that you throw a colorful stickbait with a single hook and end up in the same drill with a plain white stickbait with triplets ... Magic, but still great video, Simsalabim 💪
Great video, thanks. One question, when someone is right handed, he of course casts with his right arm. But this guy does that, THEN switches the rod to his left hand and cranks with is right hand--why do that? Why not put the spinning reel handle on the other side--as I and most people I know do--then work the lure or bait--and fight the fish with the dominant arm--the same arm you casted with in the first place?
it was just the way i was taught and never really changed. i used to play alot of cricket and thats why i cast that way because its a natural action and when fighting big fish i believe your winding hand is more important. completely agree with what your saying though
@@PelagicPursuit89 I know what you mean, not everything is pure logic. Also, most of us right handed people grew up with the spinning reel having the handle on the left side, but for the conventional reel--handle on the OTHER side. That also is why some of us right handed people are used to one side spinning, the other side for casting. For me, I started looking a long time ago for left handed conventional reels to jive with my right handed spinning reels. But it doesn't really matter--until I grab my fishing buddies rod/reel when conditions demand, and it feels so wrong. I guess it really is all what you are used to, what works for you. Great video, thanks for posting
is that possible that this G was fail hooked, that's why it has that giant cut under it's gill,on it's belly, and on it's gill plate?just asking!maybe that was the reason it fought that hard!!!
All fish were just quality models....fought hard, well-fed and healthy as...You and Rhino are unstoppable every time. Curious to hear your feedback regarding the “stickiness” with previous Saltiga models that sometimes required a surge to get the clutch to slip before leveling off under heavy drag. It looked (and sounded 🤤) like the drag of the 2020 was much more linear and smooth!
You prolly dont give a shit but does anybody know of a method to get back into an instagram account? I was dumb lost my login password. I would appreciate any tips you can offer me.

1 question just start notice from some of the vids i watch, never catch a GT before but its my dream to catch one. But is the wounds and cuts like on the belly is from nature?
that wound under the fish was from the second treble fowl hooking the fish by accident. gts are by far one of the strongest fish in the ocean and a small wound like that wont bother them at all. its also why i prefer to use single hooks to prevent that from happening
