A great film, and highlights really well the plight of Market Rasen. With the nearby amenities such as the countryside and the race course, it seems like the ideal opportunity to tap into the obvious potential that the town offers. Well - we went 2022/2023 on a Sunday - to look round - maybe even move there BUT my word - i have to be honest & the lovely people of M R wont ljke it.. sunday around 10.30 - 11.00ish we parked up & starting to walk around but it was a Ghost-town - where were people - had they been kidnapped or still in bed - who knows but after being there 1 hour could not wait to leave. It was the most depressing town i have EVER visited.. only a couple of place's open - ironically 1 open wax z Estate agents 😂..we went into a coffee shop/café- it was old fashioned but ok - i went to the toilet & all the cubicles were Empty BUT was very alarmed as just entering the toilet & seated someone tried the door - trying to get in - WHY - all the cubicles were Empty - why try mine? Very questionable & quite frightening...i washed hands & they hadn't gone into other cubicles- because i could hear only silence- maybe a peeping Tom -- sexu sexual predato predator...never went back & never will thanks...
Thank you so much for all the positive comments, we'll pass them on to the 50 members of our business improvement group at our 3rd meeting this Monday. We may be small, but we do have a great mix of big ideas and big heart!

we go every year for the november races.but the problem is when somthing closes down its left to rot.went to the indian in town food is good.the advacat cat arms is a great place to stay and eat.
Living in Rasen is like a slow death...the amount of drugs there for such a small town is crazy. That's where they are all stored before being sent to the city.
Certainly looks better now...a shame the banks all shut but their are plans for a banking hub if still happens...alot more house building projects around the town just going to bring more demand in hopefully
Does Rasen have free parking? Areas that have voted for their council to remove parking charges or have happy hours are reaping the benefits. Free after 3 is a good system for sustaining that quiet half of the day. People will spend £3 on fuel to go to the "Big" shop where it is free to park, over spending £1 to park near home...great for Tesco/Asda/etc, not for your town. You own your council, start owning them or vote them out.

Very good, shame the Leadership of Gainsborough Town Centre Partnership can not show the amount of vision in this.

In my opinion Market Rasen has gotten better. Shops are staying open and its much cleaner (My friends appear at 1.26) lol

nothing good has happened since this video its got worse its just a ghost town..
