You get this big scary looking bird and then it turns around: “Peep Peep Peep PEEE EEEP” Hollywood is so embarrassed by them that they dub in these guys because they sound like eagles look. The difference is, they look as mean as they sound. Of course leave it to Hollywood to be ashamed of America.
This bird just flew 10 feet above my head and screeched with its wings wide open doing like a half circle literally I felt the wind from its wings. My brother passed away on the 15 and I put him to rest on Thursday. Hopefully a sign from heaven

Everyone thinks that this is what bald eagles sound like, but those don't have nearly as imposing of a call - they...chatter, almost? I don't really know how to describe it, actually. Whatever the case may be, red-tails are so cool, I see them from time to time when I take walks by the creek :)
The hawk that lives in the tall ass tree by my house is always flying around over the empty field lookin for food and it’s so amazing to watch. It was just flying back and forth making this sound at 10pm. It’s the first time we have ever heard it this late.

Red tailed hawks are actually my favorite bird of prey, I love them down to their color of their feathers, their calls, even the way they fly. I see the so often in the summer, and fall, I really enjoy those days. My favorite songbird is more complicated though. It would have to be a Oasis hummingbird. My favorite farm domesticated bird, is a duck. And lastly normal pet birds, my favorite would be a cockatiel. Please share your list in the replies, sorry for the rant, I am passionate about birds.
Thank you for watching 🥰 my favourite raptor is the northern harrier - they have the ultimate flying skills and with their owl shaped facial discs are the most beautiful in my opinion - my fave songbird is the Swainsons thrush - it’s a relatively dull looking bird, hard to spot but it’s song is absolutely beautiful. Farm bird would have to be a pheasant - and pet bird? I’m not a fan of caged birds but when I was little I had a blue budgie called “bluey.” 😄- I am also very passionate about birds! @@Pacificnorthwestkate (sorry if it seems I am ignoring your favorites, I just dont have much to add to them, other then that they are good choices!) but I agree birds should not be kept in cages (all day), however some people take very good care of their pet bird/s. Only putting them in the cage at night for sleep. And allowing them to fly in either a room, or the house during the day. Of course there’s abuse, but same can be said about all the smaller pets. It does not help that people think of them as “starter” pets. Sorry about the rant.
@@cyan_oxy6734 if you raise the geese from a young enough age, they will not attack you when you are near them, this is why they won't attack the chickens. But then they will see a red-tailed hawk see it as an enemy and the red-tailed hawk will be lucky to get out of their unharmed, and if it's very unlucky it'll never fly again. You pretty much just have to. Hope you get to it before the geese kill it

First time I saw one I was working security next to the atlanta, it was flying high overhead and when it screamed it sent chills down my body, it feels like it pierces you, after just the first scream I noticed every squirrel and small bird went into hiding n usually there’s be a bunch of em out picking up acorns
When I was a kid I once saw a guaraguao (thats how is called in Puerto Rico) hunt a newly born chicken I was stalking. It was crazy I remeber looking at him/her, they where in a branch of a tree, not that high pretty close to the ground but not really close, like eyes level to me. The mohfohkoh was there super quite i think we did even made I contact for a sec, but then he continued what i thought was contemplating nature. Oh man was I wrong. I was still stalking the baby chickens when suddenly a breeze and a brown projectile crossed my eyesight, and I couldn't even react fast enough, when I got out of the shock you could se a dark brown object flying away and you could hear clearly the pio pio sound of the poor chicken being less and less able to be heard with the distance the guaraguao took. The hawk was never just chilling on the branches, he was just waiting the perfect moment to catch its prey, and the eye contact we made was to make sure I wasn't going to interfere with his business. That was wild y'all i will never forget that.
It’s so funny that because bald eagles don’t have the developed vocal cords of most other predatory birds, it chatters. So the eagle call we hear in movies… comes from this fella lol awwww

We have several red tails that are living along our pasture line. One of the young ones is enamored with the trees above my alpacas! I can sit under the tree and it comes and lands and screeches!!!! Like I am in its way!

I nicknamed him SB “Screeching Bastard” lol but one day on my walk I’d found his nest w the babies so I tried to learn their call to show them roadkill carcasses for easy meals 😂 I guess I came around to loving SB and his clutch has fledged but I still see him every now and then. There are a bunch by my house. I saw them get a rabbit once. We also have Perigen Falcons who were the basis for f2 bombers. They do this dive that is really fucking fast, and I saw one get a bird after doing it. The wildlife in my neighborhood is surprisingly good. Tons of Bobcats, racoons, squirrels, coyote's, and not to far from me we have snapping turtles, foxes stuff.

I was out in Richmond on the weekend (2017.05.06-07) and there were a few hawks out ... screeching from above! Even higher up were the bald eagles!

I don't know if this was just a coincidence, but I played this and couldn't hear very well outside sitting at work so I turned it up and the second the hawk called, about 50 little birds above me on the roof took off in a panic swooping down. I laughed way too hard..
