I like Topps, but it sucks they don't have a license. Being creative with the angles and positions of the players makes it less obvious that there are no team logos.
oh man. this is a TOUGH choice. i dont mind the pajamas especially since they will be making more Gold Refractors in the future. Pedigree is a huge thing for me. On the Panini side, Prizm already has a great pedigree, that that is coming to an end. Those Blue & Reds look nice, but they are not associated with the Spurs. Another thing i struggle with is "what is a good number when it comes to numbered cards?" is /299 just too many made? heck, is /199 "too many"? these are the struggles of collectors indeed! ha
It sure was-I mulled this over for weeks before making a decision. Agree about the how many is too many point-although a print run of /199 and /299 seems super rare nowadays with the presses seemingly running 24/7 😆.
I've been collecting wemby since his first month in the league. I was able to get a Draft Picks /99 psa 9 and NBA Hoops Artist proof /25 (I sent to psa and got a 9) in late 2024 when he was playing bad for around $320 each. According to ebay they are worth around $500 a piece now. I saw the monster he was going to be and I think I was right considering his recent production. I say, get something under /99 to maximize your potential future value. I think even cheap serial numbered cards will sell for $400+ after he wins a couple MVP's and Finals MVP's. Hopefully he can stay injury free and dominate for many years to come Edit: (Not talking about his Prizm #136 I know that specific card is very valuable at /299)
IMO that's the biggest problem with Wemby RC. The Prizm image rubs me the wrong way cause it looks like he's on a high school stage. I'm also not a fan of unlicensed products. Epic fail by both companies. Enjoy Hawaii!!
Enjoy the great weather in Hawaii
Thanks! Been 65-80 degrees with a little rain here and there.
Blue would definitely be my choice. Have fun in Hawaii!!!
Great card for sure! Thanks-we’re doing Pearl Harbor today. It’s a warm one!

Totally agree. If it looked like some of the unlicensed “pajama” cards of other players in the set, I would automatically pass.

Agree that the significance of his career will be tied to health-also agree that numbered stuff seems like a good PC play too.
