Thankyou! Yes the looks of the inflight meal aren’t too appetising but however they taste great. On the downside, it’s a very small portion. There is a buy on board menu but however it is costly.
Nicely done, I was thinking before I read your description, I wonder how often they use the A330s on this route, guess it comes down to demand and supply, more need for PER to SYD. Was it a full flight?
I have noticed a slight pattern (I may not be 100% right) but on Fridays and Saturdays and sometimes Sundays, the A330 is used for the outbound VA469 flight from PER-BNE and return as VA470 or VA474 on the inbound BNE-PER sector. I flew on a Friday that day and can confirm the next flight to BNE was an A330 operated flight. PER to SYD is a very high demand route but PER to MEL seems to be more popular and yes if VA had a couple extra A330's, it would be better for both the company's supply and demand as well as passenger comfort and experience. This flight was almost full, with about 6 seats remaining from what I can remember. The first flight of the day, you would expect it to be near full, and especially on a Friday morning.
Makes sense. I would supposed passengers are also more inclined to travel mid afternoon rather than early morning on weekends as well. Even with 6 seats remaining on the 737, that would mean about 100 free seats on the a330... I am sure they have it tuned to a fine art! Fuel economics, S&D etc. Come to think of it, I flew a VA flight PER - SYD in 2015 which was operated by an A330. The flight felt less than half full and you could pretty well walk all over the economy area and sit where you liked after takeoff.
@@LukeCrisp As more and more people discover that they can have better value for money and a more comfortable flight experience on the A330, they will be more inclined to select flights operated by this aircraft and the flights eventually fill up. Subject to change during certain seasons and peak periods of course
This just made me feel at ease. Perfect track over the top too
Appreciate that brother! I’ll have more content soon, once borders open haha!!

Appreciate it man, thankyou :)
Well made trip report report. Honestly, the inflight services look quite disappointing for the length of this flight. I expected more than that.
