Been producing for a few years but this is about to change the way I make music. So smart and methodical but space for creativity, well done and thank you for sharing.
I've been learning production for months simply by using youtube. I've logged a ton of hours by now and watched almost every big channel that focuses on sound design and song structure but the videos you put out are easily the best out there, thank you.
Thanks Charlie! It really means a lot and I'm very happy you're learning from my content. Yeah, I try to go as deep as I can in my videos teaching all these concepts :) Btw, what kind of music do you produce?
How are you getting it to sit nicely on tracks where you've got more instruments in the mid to upper range... do you use envelopes, tools like trackspacer...SCC, multiband compression or a mixture?
Hey man. Yeah, plugins like Trackspacer in combination with multiband compression will give you a very clean mix. However, it's very important to keep your mixes simple and minimal because no processing will save you if there are too many elements playing at the same time
@@Fluxeon Thanks man! Appreciate the response! When you say 'in combination', do you mean on the same tracks? Are you using a lot of envelopes on your multiband compressor?
It could be on the same track. Say for the bass -> Volume shaper as a sidechain, saturator to warm up mids and lows, limiter to control dynamics, then a multiband compressor (usually with 1 band only for cleaner sound), and on top if needed you can add trackspacer. Something like that yes :)
Hey thanks man :) I didn't share the project, but if you want I can send you some of the presets I used. What's your contact info? I can send you on IG or via email

What synth plugin do you recommend? I see in this case you use diva.
Serum and diva are my favorite synths. Vital and phaseplant are cool too.
Great video love how the basses work together ! Is there any way to get those bass presets ?
