  • This documentary serves as my thesis project for Graduate School. The film covers the basics of the trading card industry and the major impacts that 2020 had on it.

    Great video! It was the perfect storm. Collectibles market was peaking interest over the last decade. Big name sports prospects getting inserted leading up to the pandemic. Then that shut down sports but not sports cards. Breakers and ripping cards became a sports fanatics only option in a generation full of adults who loved it as kids. Record sales for high end “chase cards”. 🌪🌪🌪

    I've been to thr GG2 Bentonville show. Good show. And Carter at Cleve's is a good dude with a good shop.

    My older brother recently sold me his baseball card collection of roughly Half a million cards, I already had a lot myself but with a lot of them being those mass produced 80's sets I literally just threw probably 2/3 of them in the dumpster because stuff like 90' Fleer and 88' Topps will never be worth anything just printed way too many, I actually kept all the cards from the 2000's
