This was actually really helpful and informative. I did a side flip progression vid and I basically did everything you said not to do lol. So Thank YOU!!!
Just learned a side flip recently. I am going to apply the stutter step feet, start like a front flip, and extend the lead arm before tucking in... thanks!
Thanks for this tutorial, i tried some into the pool with the tech that you tought in your video and tried it on ground a day later and was able to land it
really good tutorial. Especially the part about thinking of the trick like a modified front flip i believe to be helpful. The only thing you didn't really cover was the swing of the back arm. Many people neglect it i think, and you clearly use it!
Hey tanner I’ve been watching your videos for a while and I have a question even though it’s off topic. I’m going to buy a backyard trampoline. What are your recommendations for the “bounciest” trampolines that are very durable? I checked out a spring free and it was super bouncy but many other youtubers say they aren’t? Is that because there are better one? I know it’s long but thanks!
I've been punching this whole time. The staggered foot approach seems so much more chill. Just to clarify, are you primarily jumping off one foot? Or are you waiting until your furthest foot touches the ground until jumping off with both?
You’re sorta jumping off both feet, just let the feet hit like 1, 2 and then jump. if you jump off only your back leg without letting your front leg land, it’s a miss leg sideflip which is a lot harder. You can sorta jump off only your front leg though, if you kick your back leg
@@stayme7o437 its not that hard its just really scary dont try to stay in your kick to long and just tuck really hard because my first castaways was or not fully kick but fast rotation or fully kick and slow rotation
When I do Sideflip I can't keep my chest up so it looks like a middle way between Frontflip and Sideflip. Can you give me some tips to get it? I'm practicing without gym
Bro I appreciate this vid so much it took me 45 mins but I got it and I have proof on my channel(my hand barely touched I’ll clean it up even further soon)
A good way to practice getting your feet of at different times is to put a low and sturdy stool and right before your takeoff put your font foot on the stool and then take of
Can someone explain me when i should tuck under my leg by the hollow of the knee and when to tuck on my shin? whats the difference? can i tuck faster on my shin but it looks nicer under the leg?
You twisting a little your head might be looking back while you do it go sideways keep it straight but a half sideflip backflip still is a cool variation i like doing those on purpose sometimes
Can someone please tell me is it really helps to get height if you jump with 1 leg and then another? I always jump with 2 legs. I don't believe that you can get more height jumping one leg and then another as he says. Sorry for english btw.
So I do my sideflip over the right side. What helped me was to use ur left arm to take momentum with you. You want to take you elbow and push it up. (Bad englisch but I hope could understand what I mean)
Look sideways instead of looking forward, point your toes sideways on takeoff, swing your hands like the arms of a clock, don’t bring them forward like a frontflip.
I love sideflips, they're one of my "go to" basics
I did a 10 way to side flips
I can do a fkn dub full but no sideflip
@@Jellow04 that's still dope tho

Uff i hate siderlips they lool ugly sorry
Part of learning these body tricks is that it looks so cool in public ⚜️
he makes dem flips look soooo easy. i like when he says dont do this but then lands it perfectly
Sasuke does this flip when he absords the samurai's chakra and uses it for his chidori
I think the side flip is the easiest flip to do though
But his is beautiful
@@iraqstax617 🤣🤣
@@Høllowrj06 lol not for me I have trouble going sideways all the way I Always end up doing a 180 frontflip

Sideflips are the least scary flip to do according to me.
Was is an old clip?
Is it just me or does every kid named tanner have a yt channel about flips? 😂

How do you do sideflip to sideflip
The only problem with my side flips is it’s more like a front flip any tips?
So I do my sideflip over the right side. What helped me was to use ur left arm to take momentum with you. You want to take you elbow and push it up.
(Bad englisch but I hope could understand what I mean)
Look sideways instead of looking forward, point your toes sideways on takeoff, swing your hands like the arms of a clock, don’t bring them forward like a frontflip.
Try to learn good sideways rolls with looking to 1 direction and land that way to
Try to look on an object on your side like a tree or something the whole time you are in the air.
So I've had this problem.. I learned a hack from a side to learn a backflip, and now my sideflip just looks like a sideflip what do I do?
That other guy who came through was looking wats going on
Im inprest that you can do a side flip
