There is just something about Haikyuu that makes everyone hyped. I have seen reactors who are usually very calm almost jump from their seat because of this anime in some moments. It just gets you and refuses to let go, which is why it's so good watching it again and again. I think that's just called obsession but this show is so good, I am not complaining.
I personally find Sugar and Foxy Senpai to be iconic nicknames for them and based on your other reaction videos, I do like you guys' sense of naming😂 Fun fact (no spoiler), the author planned to make Shimizu Kiyoko to be "the most beautiful girl" but he was struggling to draw her since he wasn't sure how "the most beautiful girl" would look. Therefore, I think the nickname Foxy Senpai suits her just fine as it goes along with the author's intention for Shimizu character😊 Another thing is, Sugawara is truly one of, if not the most, sweetest person in Karasuno. There are actually lots of people calling him Sugar for that trait of his, so I personally don't mind the nickname at all❤ Looking forward to the next episodes!
I love this episode, because Hinata realizes he can bring so much more to a team than merely his ability to hit spikes. The way Kageyama talks him up about it, is surprisingly wholesome from him too. Speaking of Kageyama, his backward set is definitely hype. You two did not disappoint, haha. 💙

Spanish is my first language and something that I deeply love is that spanish and japanese have the same phonetics so 99% of the time I have no problem in knowing how their words are pronounced. I didn't notice how lucky I was till I saw how hard it is for people who speaks english (which obviously also applies for all the other languages with different phonetics). Since I only watch shows/movies in spanish, english or japanese I have never had that problem.
Since you're a musician: fun fact about the composer, he used to do gymnastics. he didn't like how there wasn't music that matched his routine, so he started to create his own. So all the music is essentially composed from a lived-in perspective.
The thing I found so cool with Hinata is that he trusted Asahi to follow through. I don't know how they communicated their intentions, whether it was using a hand signal or something else like intuition, but on the point Hinata ran to the back row, perhaps that's the signal? But yeah, he knew Asahi would be where he needed to be and Kageyama knew when to throw it. The same with the delayed jump Hinata did, how Kageyama knew he was gonna delay. I think this is probably the most important episode of the season for realising our team is now working together. Even Tsuki asking Kageyama where to place the ball, I feel like this episode was massive.

I just love Haikyu!! so much. The whole character dynamics and writing is already amazing, but factor in how down to earth and relatable it is while being THIS hype... I just appreciate this show so much and can't wait for you guys to witness everything this show has in store! :)

The thing about Haikyuu for me is there is literally no team that I dislike, I love each and every team, there are a few people from certain teams that I don’t really like but for the most part I love everyone. But yeah they all have their flaws and strengths, and the teams have different personalities and strong points, I hope you both also come to like each team.
16:24 No. The play was for Asahi all along and Hinata wouldn't even get the toss because it's behind him. Kageyama toss the ball to Asahi which is on the back, behind the front lines where Hinata is at the moment. You can't steal a toss from a teammate because that's way too dangerous too.
This was really a hype episode and I too was even though I have watched it over 10 times now. My fav moment was when Kageyama did that crazy toss. Earlier no one would have been able to spike it but now we have Hinata there. The trust and their unique style which make others gape, love it. Also, Asahi finally got his moment, love to see his confidence come back and as he believed and thanked his teamates for the buildup! Can't wait for the next one. Cheers!

Haikyuu is my second favourite anime of all time ( right behind AOT, which is first ). Just like AOT, Haikyuu took me by surprise the moment the first episode dropped back in 2014. I was hooked from the get go. I have so many anime that I’ve seen over the course of 15+ years and have been watching sports anime specifically since I was about 12-13 years old ( The Prince of tennis was my very first sports anime experience ). But with so many anime under my belt, there’s only a handful that really stand out to me and Haikyuu is one of those anime. It’s an anime that can go on hiatus for many years between seasons but I still forward to it the most when it comes back cause it’s really that amazing to me
As long as the correct pronunciation/actual names are acknowledged, I am personally in favor of all nicknames and whatever pronunciation you guys find enjoyable
I think you're slowly realizing that this show is super wholesome, you really can't hate any teams or characters in particular, ultimately they will be likeable for a reason or the other... and I like this about Haikyuu very much, you can root for our boys while still being appreciative of the other teams and players, that's true sport right there!

Shu-gaa or Suga either or is good. It is like when we pronounce English names I cannot make it so accurate so, why not give the liberty to others. It is actually cute. Japanese names are easy for me to pronounce cause our vowels are simply almost the same to pronounce but I still am not accurate with the where to put the stress unless I hear it numerous times.

This episode is so good! :) - At this point of the show, I always considered Kageyama and Hinata as one because of their roles. Hinata wouldn't have a chance to score if it wasn't for Kageyama's sets. Because of that, MVP in this episode is Kageyama and Hinata since I considered them as one.

Suga's name is a lot like Angelo's. Other people would call you 'ang-HEL-o', but that's incorrect. So it's proper for us to call you instead 'an-JEL-o'. If you pronounce his name as SHU-gah, it's understandable since English speakers struggle to make SU sounds (and fans call him Sugar Mama anyway). But if you want to learn and familiarise yourself with foreign cultures, you might want to practice saying SU-gah. Asian fans would find the effort really sweet. Just like with Kiyoko's name (aka foxy-senpai), you can choose to call her something else. But if you want to get familiar, you can practice saying Kiyoko.
For shooga vs sooga, I don't care either way. But his name is sugawara, not shugawara lol. For foxy senpai, I don't care either lol. I mean, it'd be nice since it shows that you care that she's not just a nameless character but that's up to you. Personally, I usually go towards pronouncing things right thought just because people would pronounce my name and the names of a ton of people I know wrong all the time without wanting to try to get it correct. “A” in the Japanese alphabet is pronounced “ah” and “E” - “eh” so Date sounds like dah-teh. It doesn’t actually mean the English word date.

For shooga vs sooga, I don't care either way. But his name is sugawara, not shugawara lol. For foxy senpai, I don't care either lol. I mean, it'd be nice since it shows that you care that she's not just a nameless character but that's up to you. Personally, I usually go towards pronouncing things right thought just because people would pronounce my name and the names of a ton of people I know wrong all the time without wanting to try to get it correct.
