Even though I watched it during the time it was airing, I still have a nostalgic feeling every time I watch the plot twist. It was unexpected, who knew the idol you love and adored has a massive crush on you that he made everything about you about him too, writing songs and eating your favorite candy all the time, falling in love with you like a fool too. This is what romcom should be like and this series executed it perfectly❤.

This will always be one of the most iconic kdrama plot twists ever. I love their build up to reach this scene. He genuinely cares for Sol right from the start. I’m still in awe & couldn’t stop giggling at how cute & romantic Sunjae is every time I rewatch Lovely Runner. I wish I could watch this again for the first time and be surprised again. At this point, Lovely Runner is one of those kdramas that will be hard to move on from. Their love story is way too beautifully written.
