For me it was one of the bolts on the door handle that came loose and was causing the dinging. Ironically the rest of the door handle itself was functioning properly.

I'm currently using a microfiber cloth hooked onto the silver door hook, as its the only thing that stops the warning - it happened today on my way to work and I had to do what I could before I left my unlockable car in the car park 🤣

I think mine got damaged as sometimes my seatbelt doesn't retract properly and when I close the door the seatbelt mechanism hangs perfectly where the switch is so the door bangs and swings back open

My 2019 Subaru outback is doing this, but only when I use the remote start. The door will say it’s open for about 24 hours, and then it’ll shut off saying it’s closed and it will open and close as normal. Once I use my remote start again, the same thing will happen, saying that my driver door is open for a whole day. Can someone help? I am going to see ziebart, who installed the remote start as well.

Would it be the same for me? It pops up a lot while driving or just stays on. Specially when I turn right. If I pull the handle towards me (inside) it goes away, it goes away. If I smack the handle from the inside, it goes away. It seems to be thinking it has pressure on it pushing out even when I'm not touching the door panel.

What if it just randomly says its open for a couple seconds as your driving but turns off on its own
My car sensor is stuck inside and it's turned upside down , so when I try to pull it out it comes out backwards and it's too wide for the hole and the wire is too short to be pulled out completely .

Mines on 93 Accord but it shows all 4 doors the brake light and trunk. Sometimes it's on and others off 🤷🏽♂️

Pull out the switch, on the back you will see the metal contact. Bend them to be closer and that should fix it. If not, replace the switch.
Been having this problem with my 2012 genesis. Changed the switch, pig tail, battery cause it will kill the battery and still not working. And oh yeah now my alarm wont sound because it was going off so much.

So this is the closest thing I’ve found to my issue but I’m not sure if it’s still this or something else? The car locks and closes but still says it’s open but the window leaves a slight gap at the top. Does not fully close like before. Could this still be the issue or something else?

A proper OBDII diagnostic tool can tell you which one(s) are faulty. The driver door is the most common point of failure, but it can be any door, or more than one. The easiest way to fix it would be to order new switches for all four doors. You can also buy one switch and test them one at a time.
