I swear that looks my wedding dress. I gifted it to another woman to wear and she sold it to a third person who wore it. I have no idea where it ultimately ended up but my mom and I found it in the back of a local beauty supply store for $200. Quite a good life for a dress that many of my peers would have snubbed their nose at. The last time I saw it was in a little town outside Little Rock, Arkansas.

White is usually the female part and black is the male part. For my prom, I switched roles with my best friend. She wore a black dress, I wore a white suit. We ate.

Yes! Once I tried to dye a shirt, it was a last chance fir it before trash can, so it was more like an experiment. It turned out that the stitches were made with nylon thread, which didn't dye! So the fabric was dyed ( irregularly), but not the thread...
I’m impressed, so many layers of tulle are hard to dye evenly and I’ve seen a lot of projects like this come out meh, but this is actually a great colour and I’m pretty sure it’ll look amazing on you. 😍
I had to wear a secondhand wedding dress on my wedding day it was so hard to find one that wasn’t stained or torn up. If you’re going to be cutting it up and dying it anyway, please don’t pick a dress that could easily be worn to someone else’s wedding 💕
Im sorry you had hard luck finding a good wedding dress at the thrift store, but you can’t possibly expect people to take that request seriously. That’s the nature of thrifting: sometimes your luck is shit. You know if stuff in thrift stores doesn’t sell, it eventually will end up in the garbage? They don’t keep all donations on the racks for eternity. Better for someone to grab something they can use in the moment than leaving it for “someone” that might never end up getting said item.
That's gorgeous and so creative. You've ensured nobody is going to look like you at prom, and it'll make the experience so much better. This is just so awesome! On different note... We've got 3 different thrift stores in my small town and all 3 of them have wedding dresses in them

Most wedding dresses are used once and ignored in attics afterwards. Love seeing this thrifted one reused. And the color is very soft and pretty.
