I always love watching “this old house” as far as I could remember I was 13 yrs old when I started watching with Stephen Thomas. Great work as always with great builders that take their jobs in to a personal level. Great details are priceless, and timeless.👍👍
Merry Christmas! Can you make a video talking and showing us some different safety tips and how to look for good and bad Christmas lights and how we can put lights on the tree and how to put them on the house and in the windows etc? It would be nice as well to learn what types of lights to put on a fake and real tree and the different types and styles of lights?
Hi I love the idea of using white distilled vinegar to power wash steel or poly/plastic siding. I was wondering if vinegar would also be best to use on a brick house? Or what's the best environmentally friendly solution to use on brick?
Funny they used the existing landscape lighting transformer. Those are usually AC, so even assuming it's the right voltage for the LEDs (those are usually 12V or 24V, so make sure it matches the existing transformer's voltage), it's only going to drive the LEDs at half brightness, because the voltage is only going the right direction half the time. If by some happy accident the transformer used in this episode was a DC output transformer, they should at least have mentioned the difference, so people watching who have AC transformers know those won't work (as well).
The background music on all youtube videos is extremely annoying. I don't like it at all. Especially when the host(s) is/are speaking. It's not like we're watching a dramatic movie and they need to push the emotional buttons. I find myself muting and turning the c/c, but the auto c/c sometimes doesn't get it quite right.
What TOH doesn't explain are the grades of sandpaper they use , by that I mean the lower (36 grade) is VERY, VERY thick/ROUGH sand paper AND the HIGHER the sandpaper ( 350 ) is LIGHTER ROUGH sandpaper.....
Yes, there is if you spray up into the siding. Power washing is a fool's way of cleaning the siding. Look into soft washing much easier and you can easily do it yourself.
@@shanew7361 you sound like my grandmother (born 1896) “washing machines are a fools way of cleaning clothes” or my dad (born 1918) “automatic dish washers are a fools way of cleaning dishes.” LOL, there is nothing wrong with time- and labor-saving devices, if used correctly.
Yeah...just put some black tape over that Ryobi logo...nobody will be able to tell what it is by the awful color! It's like if you hire somebody and they pull that color of tools out...now you're fired...

These new lenses are doing magic to the show.
Some background music, not so much. A bit distracting.

No risk of water running behind the siding and damaging the housewrap/sheathing?
