Okay, so I read all the.. short comments, and didn't see this response: The red splotches on the box-art was probably an Homage to the Blookstrike comic cover gimmick where you "rub the blood" and it disappears. Ahh the 90s
Love 90s crazy comic stuff wish there was a company that made more figures like this. All the current comic figures don't embrace the weird cool 90s art and style.
Great figure and amazing review as always! I think the big reason it feels like a Toybiz figure too is because in contrast with Hasbro, Toybiz was going the accurate and stylize way to make the figures look like their comic-book counterparts, while doing the most they can with the technology they had then. While Hasbro's legends, while even their best ones actually genuinely look good, however, they are still missing such charm Toybiz had.
@@ZZZGGGLLLAAAHHH He said he is big fan of Liefelds characters and his art, not that he is a fan of Liefeld himself. Just like how I can say I love Harry Potter but couldn't care less about what the "J" and the "K" in J.K. Rowling stand for lol
I read the old Youngblood/Extreme comics. I've been excited to get this figure. I'm more of a fan of the Bloodstrike Assassin version of Cabbot, but I have a feeling that's coming in the next wave. I hope as the parts library expands, LooseCollector can drop the price a little.
I pre-ordered just this one as it does look great for an obscure character. I bought and read the comics when they first came out, got into Bloodstrike and Brigade for a few issues, but fell off... but it's such great 90s nestolgic feels... if they do bring out Youngblood figures, I hope they bring down the price as $75 per figure kept me on the fence. But for this first one, I'm interested.
No official Liefeld alternate feet? Also, the price for this is insane. The only thing LooseCollector is making that approaches the money being asked are the wolves, imo.
It looks like a great release, but this era isn’t particularly my cup of tea. I’m glad that Loose Collector is putting out fun and solid lines, though. I backed their Hyde and am looking forward to their future offerings, too.
Rob liefeld is quite possibly the least deserved hated comic artist. I mean we have people who legit trace porn but no lets denounce the guy who made deadpool just because he draws the occasional shitty pic (which still is stylized enough to where i genuinely dont care) and people forget that the art isnt done as a passion project its a job.
He's objectively a terrible artist, who doesn't understand human anatomy or perspective. But with that said, I lo ed Rob Liefeld in the 90s and still have all of my comics.
I don't care for the character since I dislike Early-Mid 90s aesthetics, but I click on these videos anyways because it's always fun to see how smaller companies perform. LooseCollector products in particular seem too expensive half the time so I'm always interested in seeing whether the final product can justify that price. The werewolves, for one, were a pleasant surprise, and I say that as someone who saw the resin prototype firsthand. I hope they send more review samples
I’m trying to figure out how this costs the same $75 as the Coffin Comics figures released last year, because while I liked those figures in spite of their flaws, if this is $75, they shouldn’t have been a dollar over $35. Bigger production run? Was there no middleman (Executive Replicas) this time?
Great review. I don't think Rob knows the arms pop off and the vest comes off. He has a ebay show and a Whatnot show where he sells his signed comics and sells these figures signed for $85. He's always got him and B!ood Wulf out posing them. He' s never said anything about removing the vest, I kind of like it more without the vest. The comic is as awesome as the figure.
You're thinking Shatterstar and Cable. Omega Red was Jim Lee. I don't really want this figure but it'd be nice if Hasbro could actually make some accessories that ACTUALLY look like something Cable would carry. Because it's clearly possible based on the figure here.
Didn’t Liefeld Co-Create the Cable Character? So this Bloodstrike character makes sense, minus the feet issues. 😂 what they need to do is finish making that team into figures. Four play, Shotgun, Tag, and Deadlock. I want a Chapel, but I think McFarlane owns the rights to Liefelds version of that character. Almost like an alternate version of Punisher.
It is kind of odd to me that this is based on his art but they gave it way better feet. And with his name on the product, he would have had to sign off on it I’d assume. It would look as dumb as the reference images, but idk. I’m not sure how to feel about that lol
@@AnthonysCustoms Yeah it is, most of these have atrocious anatomy and didn't even have double joints until recently, the price tag only added insult to injury.
Going into 2025 you seem to be enjoying 3rd party figures more and more and seem happier getting them. Maybe you should lean into 3rd party even more. At best your Marvel Legend like to hate ratio is 70/30. As a reviewer I know you need some hate red meat to keep the channel interesting but from a personal joy definately get into more 3rd party stuff. I have some stuff you'd love to review that most of your viewers never even heard of.
Yeah but loose collector is a niche brand that can't really be had at most retailers and it's a "wink wink" KO design based on Cable as you stated. The poing is there are Sooo many 3rd party things that you aren't exposed to that will blow your mind and many at VERY reasonable prices. For example: Keep Going studio's Black Ghost and FOG TOYS AE-01 Cyber figure with flying vehicle and diorama stand with light up features! $160.00 shipped. ALL ARE ANTHONY CUSTOMS type of thing as far as paint, articulation, and price and VToys have several cool things and stuff coming out this year. He also definately got the WRONG Joy Toy Mech to try out first. He got the Darwin version on the Mecha line.
Feet jokes aside, this toy’s boots look a little too clown-like in their size; though maybe that’s because of the contrast to the source material. . Along with their height, it looks almost like he’s got platforms on 😛. There are nice things about the figure ; but not my cup of tea overall,
Its not a character i need for that money ,too many better choices in that range . It looks more like $50 to me max ,i dont need all those guns either or all the pouches. Its over done for what it is .
Rob Liefeld is a terrible artist, writer and character designer. Everything he did was derivative and nonsensical and sometimes straight up stolen. Even Deadpool only became the beloved character he is once someone else got a hold of him. That said, Liefeld seems like a nice guy, outside of being a hack.
His work is notoriously stylized... Side from the feet. The anatomy is still correct for the style. It's possible to do both. I've never claimed comics should look like real people. I've said the opposite.
Those pics at the end make this guy look so good. Like an actual comic character.
x2
This might be the most Rob Liefeld character that Rob Liefeld has ever Liefelded.
I think so... Only thing that would make it more Liefeld would be if it literally has no feet. Just ankles that come to a point
Has feet. Not accurate 🤣 jk
😂
His feet should some sort of debris covering it that you can attach as an accessory
90's comic art is my jam. Anything from the "Image" crew.
I love these 2 offerings from Rob/LooseCollector And i'm looking forward to more.
Yep! Spawn, Youngblood, Bloodstrike, Wild C.A.T.s, and my favorite Supreme!
Cyber force!
Your videos have always been entertaining but lately you’ve been showing more personality and the videos are even funnier, still informative too.
Glad you like them!
I love LooseCollector, they continue to impress. These honestly weren't even on my radar until your review. Hope you're doing Blood Wulf as well.
Maybe if you ask them to send a review sample lol
@@AnthonysCustoms on it!!
Jim Lee created Omega Red. He had X-Men at the same time Rob had X-Force.
Makes sense

Didn't know that was a thing. Good catch
I may end up getting these (Cabbot and Bloodwulf), they aren't a priority for me but I like them.
Thanks for the review Anthony.
Jim Lee created the design for Omega Red, you’re right though. That head does look like Omega Red in the 90s.
If they do Prophet, Supreme or Crypt I'll absolutely buy them. Maybe even Cabbot as solo Bloodstrike.
Completely agree with you bro 👏👏👏👏👏
100% man instant purchases

Your review moved the bubble for me. I’m going to preorder this figure.
I love his art, the hate he gets from some people is completely unwarranted. It’s stylized art in a comic!
I think i'd want to get this guy just to customize into cable
Not enough pouches

this is great. gonna have to get this one. i am digging the look and the huge guns.
Nice review. Already own a Cable. Don't need another lol
It's pronounced "LIE-feld" not LEE-feld." Confirmed during his Deadpool cameo: th-cam.com/video/FVuNCvHMnaw/w-d-xo.html
Oh well
Glad I wasn't the only one who noticed his mispronunciation! Obviously a big fan right lol🤣🤣

This figure has that old Toybiz marvel legends feel.
I was wondering if this was going to contain feet jokes...and I wasn't disappointed.
I'm holding out for the disproportionate humongous- chested Rob Liefield Captain America art meme figure!
I see what you mean about the toybiz vibes. It makes it really appealing to me.
Obligatory “Too-many pouches” comment….Pouchstrike is an awesome character
Thanks for reviewing this figure Anthony. Would you say this figure is better or equal in articulation to your standard McFarlane figure?

Very cool.
It does capture that Liefeld style.
I’m waiting on mine from big bad toy store It’s still on pre-order though
Was Darwin picking his nose?
No official Liefeld alternate feet? Also, the price for this is insane. The only thing LooseCollector is making that approaches the money being asked are the wolves, imo.
For the size of the runs (likely very small) and for all the paint and sculpt you get, the price is reasonable. I doubt they're turning high profits.
I have both ,figures of the year..plus the four thats coming is gonna rock us..dont miss out
Thanks for this, Anthony! Going back to work today after Christmas vacation and needed a laugh! This is hilarious!
It's a minor thing but I really appreciate when you can remove figure limbs like this for customizing/kitbashing.
Can you please do an articulation video about hip joints and how to get perfect split?

I saw these for a decent price and totally skipped them, now I'm kind of bummed about it. Haha
Are the hips/legs getting loose?
Seems like that style hip joint can get loose easy across different lines,
It's just a ball joint. Can be fine or terrible. These were fine
@@AnthonysCustoms Ah okay, thats good, I thought it was more hingey with little friction,

Yeah, I always liked Rob's artwork. I know it's not technically good, he's no Jim Lee, but it's very distinctive. His characters have character.
Hey, Anthony. Nice review as always.
So, what will be your no. 1 action figure for 2024?
I uploaded many top 10 lists just before Christmas
Limited torso articulation is a deal breaker for me

no. i meant omega red because of the hair. i didnt know who created him
@AnthonysCustoms The hair is like Shatterstar though.
I wonder if he had proper sized lower legs it would make him a 6 in. figure instead of 7 in.

IDK. Not particularly interested in them
I'll probably get the not Lobo blood wolf. Didn't think you'd be a fan of liefelds art lol
We have "Cable" at home "cable"
It’s weird seeing good anatomy on a Liefeld character
It took me years to reconcile my differences with cable and Deadpool caused by Robbie’s Art. It has never been good.
Omega Red was Jim Lee
Never thought I’d see the day…
The last time I hear Rob's last name from ed piskor and the same Stan Lee is pronounced "laifeld"I only said.
'Omega Cable' 'Cable Omega' 'Omega Pouch' 'Omega Toes' 🦶
Me every month: I'm not buying any figures.
Also me: Man I need this.
(Side note: I've always said "lie-field", is ir "lee-field"?)
I think it's confirmed to be lie overhead of lee according to other comments. I've always just said either one not knowing which is correct
@AnthonysCustoms Same here, don't even know where I've heard it honestly. Great review as always!
I thought it was cable in the thumbnail
Hey Anthony all kidding aside that figure's face looks just like yours
You think so? I don't see it
Hey Anthony are you gonna review the Contra Force figures by Hiya?
I think so
This and bloodwolf are beyond tempting. I dont need them and ill keep telling myself i dont need them.
Never into these comics, but cable meets Century? :P
Way too expensive… but looks nice.
Yeah it’s cool but that pony tail is killing it for me
