I feel like the people at HAL saw this and kinda went off on 'em to fix... everything. The huge one is Meta Knight's characterization, though the anime we got still flubbed him a little (gaMeta goes way harder with pretty much everything) and had a bunch of missed opportunities (never unmasked/apparently aniMeta's wings are confidential).
This is one of the most confusing videos I've ever seen. Was this episode ever supposed to exist? How did it get created? What was it for? And who's this character? Was it a prototype of Tiff? I guess we'll never know...
No problem, please let me explain. This is a pilot episode. Pilot episodes are what is created to explain a potential show to either the channel that would aur it or the people that would fund the show. That is why this video starts with turning the characters and the 3D models gesturing like Kirby flappping his arms. They're showing off the animation and how the series may look. Then, it switches to a staple: this second aspect is "What would a regular episode of the show feel like?" What would happen? Who will be in it? So they show the interactions with the group and the fight with villains. They introduce characters to show who may be in it. These character designs often change when the show is approved and they start working on making the official show that will air on TV. Nowadays, almost all pilot episodes are focused more on the "what a mid-season episide will feel like?" aspect. Some include short character introductions, but give a conflict that may not be in the official show they make. It's just similar to what will happen. The art style and character designs still often change. Pilot episodes are not meant to be a part of the series or an official episode. Viewers aren't meant to see them. *It's just a taste test.* I hope that makes. Feel free to ask questions.

And what budget? how old are you? the anime was made on the year 2002 and the series had 3D scenes mixed with traditional animations (with a lot of recycling of scenes). And well, you preffer a shonen about a baby Kirby thing fighting extraterrestrials through 100 episodes, this pilot have more adventure sensation, it's feels like the games.
@@clerwer The 3D renders were considered primitive at that time and there were already better pilots out there who've probably had more (interesting) 3D renders. Sure, it was impressive for their time but saying that this "looks better than the TV show" is undermining the effort they put in the final revision of Right Back At Ya!
