My husband and I took Discovery Princess to the Mexico Rivera out of Los Angeles in late October 2023 to celebrate mutual milestone birthdays for both of us. We loved the Discovery Princess ship (we had an ADA compliant full suite since I need the ADA features and a larger stateroom). Since we had a full suite, we received an invitation to participate in the 360 dining experience which was absolutely amazing (we did this on my 70th birthday). We loved this cruise and in September 2024, we sail out of Vancouver, B.C. on Ruby Princess sail to Alaska to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. Thank you for your review of the Port of Vancouver. It was very helpful.
I watch the love boat with my grandmother when I was a kid in the 80s. It was a very cheesy nighttime soap opera. If you go on another princess ship, you definitely have to check it out on the TV in the room because I think they have all the episodes available on demand. Oh, and often times that TV show is credited with really giving a huge boost to the cruising industry and getting more people interested in trying a cruise.

Loved the Love Boat as a kid! The story centered on members of the crew; captain, cruise director, ships doctor, bartender…. Each week was a new sailing on the Pacific Princess with new passengers who were all famous celebrities at the time. It was a comedy/drama. Looking back it was a silly show, but at the time I couldn’t wait for Saturday night to watch a new episode!
Have absolutely loved this series Kev and Stacey, and thank you for being so open about the cost as I like that you always mention how much you have paid for things. I know some people like to keep it private but I think it really helps people like us who watch as it gives us an idea. Looking forward to your next adventures
So much helpful information for those thinking about a cruise, Kev and Stacy. Sounds like you have it worked out and paid a reasonable prices. The "Love Boat" was one of the biggest shows on in the 70's in the US. They had a well know main cast as the crew and then different celebrities would take that weeks cruse. Not true stories, but scripted romantic and comedy stories. The couples would first meet, hate each other, then fall in love and live happily ever after. The celebrities were similar to that you found on Friends. Some of the biggest stars! Not bad for it's time and Princess Cruises reaped the benefits and grew big time. Great review and cost info. Looks like we have some catching up to do now that we're home.

Hello Kev and Stacey We are going to Greenland and Iceland on princess next year so hoping your next holiday will be there so we can get all the available info before we go, PLEASE. We have booked the princess cruise after watching your vlogs, looks so much better than P&O, like the look of the princess app the P&0 app was a nightmare. We booked a inside cabin, princess emailed us today to say they have given us a up grade to sea view a window mid ship 1st time ever after 20 cruises that we have be given a up grade. We would love to go to Alaska but have given up on airports plus could not manage all the wife's luggage and only live 30 minutes from Southampton. Once again great vlog and great info traveller's want to know be they go, best on TH-cam by far Look forward to your next vlogs

I love the love boat show when I was a kid. I had watched some other TH-camrs going on a princess cruise and heard their horns blowing the theme music from the love boat show. Hopefully I will get to go on a princess cruise and hear the theme music myself. Love your discovery princess video

Hey Guys, you already know I like your vlogs 😅, love the content and the interaction between the both of you! Love Boat was an American soap that ran from the seventies till mid eighties! It was filmed on princess Cruises and we could watch the weekly adventures of some crew members and weekly new guests. A lot of famous actors did their guest appearance. It was my favorite childhood soap and ever since that show I wanted to work on a cruise ship. Now being Belgian it was very hard to find a job like that in the early nineties, but anyhow I managed to work 25 years abroad and in tourism. Now a little older I enjoy Cruises as a guest, love it! Always looking forward to your next vlog, you start to feel as friends 😅😂

If you are going to book the Sun Princess, I suggest booking the November 9 Western Caribbean cruise. Why? That will be a special Magic Castle cruise (make sure to tell them you want to be part of that group). If you don't book that cruise, make sure you book the Spellbound experience by Magic Castle. It will be like a mini-Magic Castle at sea.
Loved watching ‘the love boat’ as a kid…. Put it on recently to show my other half and lasted 5 mins 😂 awful but can’t wait to hear the horns when sailing in September
I’ve heard that a good way to cope with the shower curtain is to use some magnets to pin it to the wall as that will keep taut, in place and away from you. Not sure if it works but worth a try?

The ‘loveboat’ show was on in the 1970’s and although it seems a bit silly today, it actually is a relevant program. It aired for 11 years and is largely responsible for the popularity in American cruising we see today. It was created and based on a book written by a former cruise employee who wrote about things that happened , especially the romances that often occurred on cruise ships.
Paid of the cabin for myself and my friend today. Whoop Whoop. Things are getting exciting now. Still have to pay for carers cabin but we're getting there.
My brother took a Mexico cruise and they had food judging on it. They would finish judging and had covered dishes for take away. He told me his three people would each get a stack of those and go back to their cabin. He literally gained 20 lbs in that week. Then he would only eat steamed chicken, broccoli on rice for a week or more and lost the weight.
I’ve wanted to try Princess Cruises for some time but you really need to look at the changes happening next month, they’re really not good and they apply to people who’ve booked their cruises sailing from late August onwards. I don’t expect to pay a fee to use the medallion to order things. I don’t expect to have to pay a charge to use Alfredo’s, which was free in the past. Plus much more.
Yes we've noticed the changes since we went!(We left a link in our last princess video to the changes as it was all changed after we had done our videos)Absolutely ridiculous what they've done. Got to pay now to use the ocean now and for gigis pizza. They have shot themselves in the foot with that one. Should of just left it how it was

Same company (Carnival) as P&O so I hope there’s no cheeky changes (e.g. charges for The Keys) before we take our first cruise with them on the Arvia in February
Wow so many great tips not only about Alaska but about your princess experience thank you. I’m planning on sailing on sun or star princess 2025/6. Sailing on Arvia next year and we are just 15 away from MSC Virtuosa 😍. Now a little tip for you guys of a couple of things that may interest you. Canada is a fantastic country and I love it more now that the USA (not including Florida 😂🤣) I’m sure you would love Toronto , we did it a few years ago, Canada’s wonderland has some amazing coasters , CN tower walk is amazing but not for the faint hearted but it got me over my fear of heights . Then over to Niagara for a few days to take in the falls and all it has to offer. One more thing is royal Caribbean oasis of the seas is my favourite royal ship because the adult only solarium with the outside uncovered deck is perfect to get away from them little rug rats 😂🤣 only thing I don’t like is the Cats show 🤮. The cafes on the ship are great but I’m guessing not as good as princess but the speciality coffees is included in the drinks package . Coco cay is amazing Thank you and keep them videos coming 😍
Have a great time on the Virtuosa and yes we definitely want to see more of Canada at some point we really loved what we saw. And definitely want to try some different cruise lines too at some point 😁

Hi we tend to book with cruise nation and just look till we see a good deal. We tend to go for an inside cabin and no drinks package which obviously keeps the cost down 👍
You too young to know about the Love Boat TV series, it was a classic feel good show we watched it every Sunday night back in the day. The real Love Boat was a flop and a bit like Love Island. But the tune cones from the original TV series.
We are affected, I won't let it spoil a much awaited double birthday celebrations holiday but I am definitely not looking forward to the flight with 2 young men on the autism spectrum! I agree with what you said, p&o have handled this very bad and I cannot figure out how they have allocated their flights at all. Not a good 1st impression of p&o sadly.
The food on Princess looks fantastic. I'm going on my first Princess cruise in 2025. I used to sail on Royal Caribbean but gave up on them. Their food quality is rather poor and everything with that line has gotten really expensive. I just don't find any value in sailing with them. Honestly, it feels like they sabotaged their main dining room to drive people to specialty dining. Not a fan.

Love Boat was an American soap that ran from the seventies till mid eighties!
It was filmed on princess Cruises and we could watch the weekly adventures of some crew members and weekly new guests. A lot of famous actors did their guest appearance. It was my favorite childhood soap and ever since that show I wanted to work on a cruise ship. Now being Belgian it was very hard to find a job like that in the early nineties, but anyhow I managed to work 25 years abroad and in tourism. Now a little older I enjoy Cruises as a guest, love it! Always looking forward to your next vlog, you start to feel as friends 😅😂

If you are going to book the Sun Princess, I suggest booking the November 9 Western Caribbean cruise. Why? That will be a special Magic Castle cruise (make sure to tell them you want to be part of that group). If you don't book that cruise, make sure you book the Spellbound experience by Magic Castle. It will be like a mini-Magic Castle at sea.

I’ve heard that a good way to cope with the shower curtain is to use some magnets to pin it to the wall as that will keep taut, in place and away from you. Not sure if it works but worth a try?

The ‘loveboat’ show was on in the 1970’s and although it seems a bit silly today, it actually is a relevant program. It aired for 11 years and is largely responsible for the popularity in American cruising we see today. It was created and based on a book written by a former cruise employee who wrote about things that happened , especially the romances that often occurred on cruise ships.

My brother took a Mexico cruise and they had food judging on it. They would finish judging and had covered dishes for take away. He told me his three people would each get a stack of those and go back to their cabin. He literally gained 20 lbs in that week. Then he would only eat steamed chicken, broccoli on rice for a week or more and lost the weight.

I’ve wanted to try Princess Cruises for some time but you really need to look at the changes happening next month, they’re really not good and they apply to people who’ve booked their cruises sailing from late August onwards. I don’t expect to pay a fee to use the medallion to order things. I don’t expect to have to pay a charge to use Alfredo’s, which was free in the past. Plus much more.
Yes we've noticed the changes since we went!(We left a link in our last princess video to the changes as it was all changed after we had done our videos)Absolutely ridiculous what they've done. Got to pay now to use the ocean now and for gigis pizza. They have shot themselves in the foot with that one. Should of just left it how it was
@@OneCouplesAdventure It’s one thing to apply new charges to new bookings, it’s another to apply them to those who booked 6 months ago or longer. Same company (Carnival) as P&O so I hope there’s no cheeky changes (e.g. charges for The Keys) before we take our first cruise with them on the Arvia in February
Yes definitely it should only apply to those booking after the changes were announced, certainly not the ones that booked before!

Sailing on Arvia next year and we are just 15 away from MSC Virtuosa 😍.
Now a little tip for you guys of a couple of things that may interest you. Canada is a fantastic country and I love it more now that the USA (not including Florida 😂🤣) I’m sure you would love Toronto , we did it a few years ago, Canada’s wonderland has some amazing coasters , CN tower walk is amazing but not for the faint hearted but it got me over my fear of heights . Then over to Niagara for a few days to take in the falls and all it has to offer.
One more thing is royal Caribbean oasis of the seas is my favourite royal ship because the adult only solarium with the outside uncovered deck is perfect to get away from them little rug rats 😂🤣 only thing I don’t like is the Cats show 🤮.
The cafes on the ship are great but I’m guessing not as good as princess but the speciality coffees is included in the drinks package . Coco cay is amazing

We love watching your videos can you please help with getting the cruises that don't cost the earth, after watching your video last year we managed to get a great cruise with MSC but the prices have increased drastically.
Hi we tend to book with cruise nation and just look till we see a good deal. We tend to go for an inside cabin and no drinks package which obviously keeps the cost down 👍
You too young to know about the Love Boat TV series, it was a classic feel good show we watched it every Sunday night back in the day. The real Love Boat was a flop and a bit like Love Island. But the tune cones from the original TV series.
Question: Could you use your existing medallion for any future princess cruises you go on or do you get new ones each cruise?

We are affected, I won't let it spoil a much awaited double birthday celebrations holiday but I am definitely not looking forward to the flight with 2 young men on the autism spectrum! I agree with what you said, p&o have handled this very bad and I cannot figure out how they have allocated their flights at all. Not a good 1st impression of p&o sadly.

For years Princess has been voted to have the best pizza at sea, ALL Princess ships.
The food on Princess looks fantastic. I'm going on my first Princess cruise in 2025. I used to sail on Royal Caribbean but gave up on them. Their food quality is rather poor and everything with that line has gotten really expensive. I just don't find any value in sailing with them. Honestly, it feels like they sabotaged their main dining room to drive people to specialty dining. Not a fan.
