Nice story. Perhaps someday all humans can show compassion toward each other.

FYI: the creature has a thick fur coat, which means is used to a temperate to figid climate. It large black eyes means it's likely a subterranean inhabitant (low sunlight); perhaps nocturnal. It has claws and hairless soles, so it must dig to find feed and shelter.

Captain Marcus Reed is kind of an idiot.
Only seconds after being told what the creature is ("an Akarian"), and being told by an expert in the field thaat it poses no threat, he spouts off with "any unknown alien species poses a potential threat to the station."
"That's nice, Captain. Thank God this little critter is a known harmless species called an Akarian, like the expert, a Xenobiologist, just told you.", Liam didn't say.
Captin Marcus Reid appears to be channeling Captain Zap Brannigan.
Do we ever find out what Liam's actual job is? When Captain Marcus Brannigan put the station on Doom Alert because a ship is approaching a space station, Liam was just standing around waiting to be told that he should be watching little Navi...
Okay, it looks like Captain Zap Reed might be right. Everyone who so much as looks at the critter decides that protecting it is the new top priority of their lives.
I'll be contacting SCP site-19 to register a Keter-class memetic threat. I feel Keter-class is appropriate due to the difficulty in containing a lifeform that anyone who encounters it will immediately want to hold and save and protect, generally by hiding it or transporting to a place of perceived safety. The depth of the hazard is apparent when the Akarian Elder somehow knows the creature's name when no one mentioned it, even though Grace and Liam named the creature. This development clearly justifies the Keter classification. i will be requesting MTF Lambda-12 ("Pest Control") due to the extreme nature of the threat. The team on site will determine the disposition of the crew of the station, but Captain Marcus Reid, Xenobiologist Grace Thompson, and rating with the unknown duties Liam Cooper will probably have to be secured as well.

Wow, that's quite an analysis! You've definitely picked up on some inconsistencies and made an interesting comparison to Captain Zap Brannigan. As for Liam's job, it's still a bit of a mystery, but your detailed breakdown adds a lot of depth to the discussion. Your suggestion of an SCP classification is creative and adds a whole new layer to the story. Thanks for sharing your thoughts so thoroughly

@@Triumphstories-x4u The improvement you need is to read the stories, not feed them into software and hope for the best.
