Dave! You have been in my thoughts and prayers! From one Michigander to another! Full House was a HUGE part of my childhood and after my dad passed suddenly from cancer I watched Full House and TGIF and Home Improvement to get my mind off of what happened and it felt like home. I lost my dad, my dog (it was really my dad’s dog that he got before he passed and the vet told my mom that the breed of dog is a one person dog and he had already lost his previous owner), we had to move and I went from being in middle school to elementary school again given the way that the school was set up. It was super hard, so thank-you for providing comfort! Marla, I loved you in full house and the babysitter’s club! Another part of my comfort zone.
I’m recovering from wisdom tooth surgery and this was something I was looking forward to watching as a heal. Thanks Marla and Dave and happy new year! Also, “cómo está” means “how is he/she” while “cómo estás” means “how are you” because there are different verb conjugations!
I was gonna say something about this as well. Question though: I know that there are differences between various "spanishes" - as in European "default" spanish, mexican spanish, argentinian spanish etc. Some differences are minor, like different pronounciation with the same spelling or different spelling of the same word. But some can be major, like different words or phrases for the same thing. So... could it be that there is a "spanish" where "cómo está" means "how are you"? I am solely aware of "cómo estás" having that meaning, but I almost never watch anything in spanish, let alone in any of the variants or even the same thing in multiple variants.
@@stefanpolomsky1306 that’s a good point - I actually have no idea the answer to your question because I know there are different dialects of Spanish, but I think cómo estás would remain the same meaning? Since it comes from the infinitive verb estar, I think all countries would conjugate it the same way since it might be confusing to some people, but I guess it’s such a minor detail that people might be a bit confused, but understand what you’re trying to say 🤷♀️

I watched Full House and step-by-step for an hour eventually moving that to Dukes Of Hazzard for the hour as it was in the same timeslot when I got home from school. Did homework for a while, then watched a little more TV of newer shows, and sometimes depending on the show did a little bit of homework at commercials but normally homework came first.
Happy new year Marla and Dave. I love this. I’m huge fan of Full House and Fuller House. Love the show. Marla I had a crush on you back in the nineties. My favorite episodes were the ones with Beach Boys on. I was as a kid a huge Beach Boys fan and still am. Love you guys.
Was watching bewitched where Darrin learns Italian etc. made me think of this episode of full house. Than when I went to TH-cam this ep of fh rewind was showing a pic of the Spanish learning episode of fh. Starting to think my iPad can read my mind as I didn’t think it out loud lol
It's not just a coincidence, our devices secretly capture screenshots of our activity and then use that information to influence search results. It might be hard to explain, but this has been happening for some time.
Can we do the review differently? Can you guys watch the episode instead of narrative and you guys can do commentary and give maybe behind the scenes this happened when we filmed this scene.
Or at least show scenes related to the scenes while doing the recaps instead of the awkward talking head video shots. This was something they used to do for season one. Basically as you recap we see several perspective shots of the scenes as they play out. Seeing clips helps bring back memories and emotions.

Whatever studio owns the show has to grant permission to the podcast. And that would cost lots of money. Even other podcast shows like Pod Meets World doesn’t show much scenes from episodes they did. They may have acted on the show, but that’s the extent of their involvement.
I haven’t used my Spanish in 20 yrs and don’t remember it. I got 5/5. at first, I was going to not count the terminator one, but because you guys counted it as correct cause Dave was not that far off and I was on a similar path as him I thought well I’ll count it as well. Otherwise I woulda been 4/5
I still need to find and watch Bob Saget stand up comedy, sad I don't get to go to comedy clubs (laziness). But I would have loved seeing him on this podcast. I think a Johnny Carson (Bob) with co-host Ed McMahon (Dave) style show format would of been a huge hit. Maybe Stamos could be the band lead, like on many of the late night shows! 😆🤔🤔🤔 And we keep Marla as the Show producer the hosts blame when things go wrong, often seen just off camera looking busy! 😉 *Just an idea... Of what could have been!
A memory: Me and a friend went to a Comedy Magic act, surprised the magician by going both Friday and Saturday night. The magician does a bit with the straight jacket where he pretends to lose a hand trying to escape. We shouted out both days we attended, "do it again, we weren't paying attention!". My friend yelled lut "do it again" I instinctively responded with the other half. I tend to be fairly quick-witted. (Not saying I deserve the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor!) 😂 Which of course got some laughs from the audience as well as him. As we were leaving, we just happened to run into him and his assistant as they were leaving the casino. They were discussing after the first night of planting someone in the future to do the same thing and were surprised when on the second show the next day, it happened again. And last night I found out someone from same group of online players (Squad) that one of the members grew up with the DeLuise family as neighbors. He was shocked when I quickly recalled their first names... 😊 Great family, glad they continued working in the industry, their dad was a legend! 😢
