Masha Allah I have performed Umrah last December. It can be done at any month and Hajj can only be done in the month of Dul Hijjah which is now. The Kaaba and the Black Stone signify the unification of all Muslims and are a safe house for them. No one worships the Black Stone or the Kaaba. They, together, stand for the supreme power that is Allah. It is direction, or Qibla, which the followers of Islam around the world face while offering prayers to God. In Umrah we do 2 things one is Tawaf 7 times anti clockwise round and after that immediately we go to Mountain Safa to Marwa walking 7 times that represent Hagar running for water to feed her children. Insha Allah soon Hajj next year I hope.

We are doing lo carb as well but one day or so during the holiday is ok 😁. I’ll also try to make what’s called Lamb Keema with peas. Yasmin is of Somali descent and was born Muslim, whereas Saleh (white American) converted to Islam after meeting Yasmin. They have created a small mosque where they live to form a small Muslim community. Apart from their mosque visitors, there aren’t much Muslims in their small rural town.
