@@plaguerave7736 i think they mean in the competitive scene, if you want to play 6v6/comp tf2, you have to go to RGL and get on a team or play PUGs. valve official comp servers are a joke, no one really queues for it except cheaters/bots or ppl leave and it ends quickly. some have gone literal days (most likely more) without getting a match queueing for the gamemode, most people will just have it queued in the background as a joke as they play pubs lmao. also allows for weapons that were balanced around 12v12, like the vaccinator or quickfix, and a lot of maps are poo poo for 6v6. also money for it is also bad, only decent money is invite level and even then it's not enough to pay the bills. if you are anything below that, once the money is split, you'll probably have enough to buy a big mac i guess.

@ This happens for both targets far away from you and for targets close to you. In Fortnite your character is to the left of your crosshair This means ANY aiming to your right will take WAY longer than normal If there was a character standing to your left and your right and you want to look at each of them, it would take DOUBLE the mouse movement for you to look to your right than it does for your left There’s actually some pretty great videos about this “Third-Person aiming is cursed” or something like that

I never played Overwatch or the beta for this. I'm really enjoying it, been playing as Rocket with some difficulty figuring it out. Sometimes I seem to be the only healer in my group and I'm having trouble balancing range attacks with healing orbs. A lot of times I just try to find a good spot, drop a respawn thingy down then heal everyone from a distance, if I start range attacking I found I give my position away and Rocket doesn't have good HP and I get taken down so quick. Still learning the ropes and watching people on TH-cam that use him.
welcome! knowing when it's best to heal and when it's best to do damage isn't really something you learn once and move on from: it is the game. make sure to do both! remember to take cover as often as possible (behind your vanguard teammate and/or walls), but especially when damaged. learn where the health packs are on the map. enjoy!
i cant tell you how important it was for me to learn how to listen. i cut my mic out of the equation and capitalized on callouts so much better without trying to make callouts. was able to combine the two alot more successfully afterwards.
People saying it'll kill OW and all that made me kinda dislike the game but playing it after the beta this game is actually a ton of fun and some fresh air (That I used to only feel when going back to Paladins)
There's no reason to be tribalistic about it and take some sort of bleeding heart stance. It's 2 free games. Play a couple rounds of one then play a couple rounds of another. People that compare or take sides are dumb as hell.

For those who played both, what do you like more, Marvel Rivals or Deadlock? Also did overwatch, league of legends or other games influence that? Me personally i haven't gotta access to deadlock but I'm loving marvel rivals. I did play a lot of overwatch 1 years ago (hardly played overwatch 2) and been playing league for like 13 years, so I'm looking forward to deadlock but not sure which I'd like better.
I actually hope they don’t add role queue and just keep balancing the game and roles against each other in a way that allows every comp to be viable even 1 tank 5 dps. I’m not saying every comp should be optimal. Balance it so the optimal comp is 2-2-2 I’m fine with that. But running 1-5-0 against a 2-2-2 should still be winnable and not require a skill gap of diamond vs silver to do so. If you’re better you should be able to win. And if you’re flexing you should have a small advantage but still require skill. A heal passive / more health packs could help playing such comps into 2-2-2 and utilising the advantage of 5 dps characters for example. Tanks will never be as popular as dps and that’s fine. Let people play dps and don’t punish them for not choosing the optimal comp etc.
for me i think the range vs mobility thing is what I do so well in this game atm, I'm a 1 trick psylocke and I use her range which is a far medium range- close and her mobility which is exceptionally high

Rule of thumb: You can convert your Overwatch sensitivity to Marvel Rivals by multiplying it with 0.375 - e.g. having Sens 5 in OW would be 1.875 (gets rounded to 1.88) in Marvel Rivals
Maybe show us how to get the highest fps, clearest visuals settings. I just can’t get the game to look clear like videos and overwatch, nor can i get the FPS without framegen Thankfully frame gen in this game introduces little to no delay.
I have a 3080ti and an i9 13900k and I can barely get it up to 240 on low-medium. The game just runs poorly, there's not much you can do unfortunately. The only thing I can recommend is if you have an rtx card, turn on dlss and set it to performance, this will lower the effective render resolution while still maintaining a very decent picture quality (don't ask me how it works, shit is magic).
I was soooo hyped for this game but now I have mixed feelings, not because of the game but because it turned out my gaming laptop cant really handle it very well, I have to play at the lowest possible settings(literally resolution so bad my screen is pixelated) to achive 60fps and its still not consistent because I have constant frame drops, and Im not really sure if thats bevause my machine is old or the game is badly optimized, overwatch runs just fine with no issues so I thought rivals would work as well, but well I guess Im getting myself new laptop for christmast
@callmejacob33 even on my decent laptop the frames drops alot I'm able to play in HD but also had to turn graphic presets to low. Even still the frames drop from 120 to 85 or 90 all the time
@oceanblvdmoon I found cloak and dagger more like moira Mercy is a weird one because I found the supports so far aren't really heal botting like her I'd personally go mantis, because she can use damage boost and healing Also, maybe Adam, I think he has a rez of sorts
@@shogun0810 Adam has a mass Rez, but he feels more like a Zenyatta/Illari to me. His healing is more limited than a lot of other supports, bound to a cooldown and not his main weapon. I often find myself not having it when I need it because I wasted it earlier. He relies on aoe for both of his healing abilities as well, rather than single target healing. This makes him hard to use in a disorganized or scattered team. I'm not sure if there is an actual candidate for a mercy-like hero, but I would say Dagger is the closest with her spammable healing weapon and multiple healing cooldowns. Her output is very high using her cooldowns, and you can never be in a situation where you are unable to heal someone at all. Swapping to Cloak is definitely neccesary though because you're wasting his cooldowns otherwise. It could maybe be seen as similar to pulling out the pistol. Mantis I agree with because she has the healing or damage boost choice, and her weapon is kind of similar to the mercy pistol. If she hits shots and doesn't spam cooldowns too much, her uptime is great. Rocket has a single rez, considerable mobility by wall climbing and slow falling, and can heal endlessly with his weapon.
i have a terrible experience with this game so far because of awful optimalization, fps low even on lowest settings on my decent pc, games wont load when i attempt to play with friends. hope they fix it as fast as possible because so far its literally unplayable

Hitting marked targets with your dash resets the dash CD, but if you whiff that dash, you MAY OR MAY NOT be boned, depends on how much support you have. If you can apply as many marks as you can and use your dash to get around in quick succession, you're gunna do great. He's also a bit like Doomfist, as he has an ability cycle. Panther Cycle: Spear/Dash/Kick/Dash/Spear/Dash/(OPTIONAL) Ult/Dash/// Repeat
Like half the duelists. Black Panther is the closest but doesn't have almost any poke. Psylocke is the closest in terms of poke and pounce once they're low. Spider-Man is probably the most like Genji if you play high sens Genji and try to solo the backline.
I'm a huge casual Overwatch fan but I don't enjoy Overwatch competitively because the aiming feels very "off" compared to every other shooter I've ever played (maybe the lack of ADS on most heroes?), and the limited mobility of a lot of heroes makes navigating the small maps unnecessarily difficult So far with Marvel Rivals I am loving how many more melee characters there are, and the higher TTK and more movement abilities in general means that you actually have a chance to fight back or get away instead of getting stuck in a corner because you can't jump over a box... This game feels so much better as something I could actually see myself play competitively and eliminates almost all of the frustrations I've had with Overwatch it's actually insane
Do you normally play 3rd person games like fortnite? The aiming in fortnite etc. is a but weird because moving the crosshair right takes longer than left, but maybe you're used to this. Either that or the quick movement of heroes might throw you off
sustain stack is INCREDIBLY BROKEN, I've already had a game with 3 supports and we were LITERALLY unkillable, the game needs some sort of anti-heal, maybe like in Paladins.
I always struggle with my awareness of my teams position and thier readiness while im on tank and that usually leads to me being frustrated on a percieved lack of followup or playmaking on thier part
Bro made a video that a bunch of people commented comments beginning with "Bro…" on. My sense of humor is more formulaic than physics (puns and cats, sue me) but this is, as the kids say, CRAZY 💀.
Cooldown is too long imo, or it should have two charges or something, or make it last longer. Or all of the above. 2 minute cooldown for such a niche ability is wacky lol. Unless you're in ranked with a coordinated team, his portal won't be that helpful 9.9 times out of ten.
This game is weird to play, not bad or anything like that but it feels weird, whereas when I first played over watch a month ago it was easy to get into and have fun
the game is so chaotic, you can hardly keep track of what's going on, I'm still in low elo after a few hours and haven't lost a single game but it feels so brainless and all shooter no strategy, expecting it to grow on me though.
It's not first person and its almost not a shooter even. It's like calling Super Smash Bros an RPG because a character has a magic system and can use spells.
I appreciate the guide, but I disagree on the composition point. Unorthodox comps can work, but in most of my matches, it’s 5 DPS, me as the solo healer, and everyone flanking on their own. It’s frustrating and makes the game uninteresting. I’m low-ranked, and I know the game just came out, but it’s disheartening when no one switches even when the comp clearly isn’t working. It often feels like a comp diff-there’s no way to win when the enemy runs 3 healers/3 tanks or 2/2/2 against 5 DPS and 1 healer. It just isn’t fun.

Everyone has rose tinted glasses for this game right now, but its in its honeymoon phase. The game is kinda janky and bad. Eventually the new car smell is going to ware off and this game will go through the complaining about everything phase and the review bomb phase. Look at hell divers. Everyones brain exploded when it came out and then everyone complained about this and that. The player count plummeted not much longer after release.

The closest ow came to a functional weird comp was 1/4/1, 4/2 3/3 so quad dps/goats/quad tank. I havent played yet but im excited.

I turned everything on low and it helped my fps a bunch without losing that much visual fidelity. And I’m on a 3050 so a potato

sustain stack is INCREDIBLY BROKEN, I've already had a game with 3 supports and we were LITERALLY unkillable, the game needs some sort of anti-heal, maybe like in Paladins.
I always struggle with my awareness of my teams position and thier readiness while im on tank and that usually leads to me being frustrated on a percieved lack of followup or playmaking on thier part

Cooldown is too long imo, or it should have two charges or something, or make it last longer. Or all of the above.
2 minute cooldown for such a niche ability is wacky lol. Unless you're in ranked with a coordinated team, his portal won't be that helpful 9.9 times out of ten.

Venom he's a tank with a similar slam, bonus health ability, can grapple in and out of fights and best at diving/flanking squishys
the game is so chaotic, you can hardly keep track of what's going on, I'm still in low elo after a few hours and haven't lost a single game but it feels so brainless and all shooter no strategy, expecting it to grow on me though.
It's not first person and its almost not a shooter even.
It's like calling Super Smash Bros an RPG because a character has a magic system and can use spells.

I appreciate the guide, but I disagree on the composition point. Unorthodox comps can work, but in most of my matches, it’s 5 DPS, me as the solo healer, and everyone flanking on their own. It’s frustrating and makes the game uninteresting. I’m low-ranked, and I know the game just came out, but it’s disheartening when no one switches even when the comp clearly isn’t working. It often feels like a comp diff-there’s no way to win when the enemy runs 3 healers/3 tanks or 2/2/2 against 5 DPS and 1 healer. It just isn’t fun.

@Eanakba Yeah, like a moba. Also, when you get hit, your character has no reaction. Every hit sounds like you're hit by a floater.

Everyone has rose tinted glasses for this game right now, but its in its honeymoon phase. The game is kinda janky and bad. Eventually the new car smell is going to ware off and this game will go through the complaining about everything phase and the review bomb phase. Look at hell divers. Everyones brain exploded when it came out and then everyone complained about this and that. The player count plummeted not much longer after release.
Ill be real, Marvel Rivals is more Paladins than it is Overwatch, and that's not a compliment.
