Watched the police break up fights every night at Shaheen's. Jumped the trains to get around town. I remember when they built the new Hy-Vee I was arrested at the old HY-Vee for stealing cigs back when they use to be on the shelves. Where you guys are representing use to be the "rich" folks "all white" from 12th street on up. We use to dream about living there. Sorry guys it's just hard to see that area as the southeast side when there was already one decades ago. Good luck. I moved to Los Angeles shortly after turning 19, LA is for real but not as good as the old southeast side.
