    I bought the SRM 210 V-Class 2 years ago, I was looking for another brand and needed a not to heavy powered speaker as a keyboard monitor. I listen to several speakers. What i noticed is how clear the upper frequency is. Most likely because of the polymer HF driver. It is also the loudest 10 in speaker i have heard. I can’t think of any negative to say, except perhaps that it’s a bit big to be a 10 in powered speaker. That being said we stil use a pair of RCF art 310 with subs.

    Mackie will be releasing the SRT210 soon. How do they compare and why are they releasing this new range so soon.

    Mon means monitor. Not mono. It’s a floor wedge setting.
    Also. It would be a lot more helpful for you to use SMAART and capture a fft trace we we can see the frequency response and phase wraps for this speaker(or any speaker). The audio is cool and all, but literally means nothing, since there are at least 10 different sonic variables that change how the audio comes out on this end. Numbers don’t lie

    OK listen here... I bought these with hopes that they were going to be the best thing since sliced bread. Not so. Don't get me wrong here. If you want LOUD, with incredible low end, these are for you. No need for a subwoofer with these. However, as far as clarity and crispness, look elsewhere. My tastes lately have become more "audiophile" than just earpiercing loudness. I'm actually a Mackie fan. I had a pair of the original SRM 450s not long ago, the good ones. The low end was almost as strong and the clarity was twice as good and these things were at least 15 years old! Bluetooth signal is unsurpassed as far as distance. I can't for the life of me understand why these arent 5.0 bluetooth or higher, they are 4.2 and 16 bit. You can buy 24-32 bit bluetooth receivers that are supposed to be "better than CD quality" for $120. I also had a set of Alto TS315s that hit almost as hard on the bottom and the clarity was ridiculous! For $450 less! The bluetooth is awesome. The bottom end is awesome. The app to control the speakers is spot on. But for $800 per unit, you would think the overall sound package would be better. I was really hoping that Mackie was going to make a HUGE comeback with these. For convenience, you can't go wrong. Maybe they should have split the Amp 800 low/ 200 high, instead of 900 low/100 high. I have played literally hundreds of songs and played with the eq, both on the app and on my phone relentlessly. I also have a DJ controller and played with that for hours not even using the bluetooth feature. I don't know. I'm not a sound engineer but I know what I'm hearing.

      Great feedback. Have you tried Alto TS415’s? Yrs ago I had Alto’s 315’s and returned them rt away because the tweeters were known to blow. But things have changed with the 415’s. 800 lf and 450 hf rms on these and they get loud. Clocking in at 132spf.

      DRM are wood cabinets. These are plastic. More watts in these. Not sure about clarity or power at loud levels. Love my DRM212 and 215s.

    Which is better srm v series 215
    Or Drm series 215 ?

    • @quadvr
      @quadvr 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      DRM are made out of wood so they will sound better, but will weight more (DRM goes low 35 hz). SRM are more manageable and are good for mobile DJs (SRM goes down to 40 hz).

    Hey thnx for the video! I have a question. If i have 2 of these speakers and some good subs, can i handle 500 people for rock/pop band outside and inside? Or they are not that powerfull? Thnx!

    • @DjSmoothNY
      @DjSmoothNY 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      The rule of thumb is 5 watts per person so 500x5=2,500 watts (RMS) so you actually have plenty for a crowd size of 500 people 👍🏾
