BIG RULE: teach our daughters(and selves) that sex will not make a man stay and neither will a baby.

      Dead Meme
I agree with you, but I don’t see how what I said takes away from that.
      Of course they should love
themselves, but what I commented doesn’t take away from that. They should respect themselves enough to know better.
Many women I know and many others try to delude themselves into believing that just because they have sex with a man, that men will stay with them. They also believe that the baby will somehow make that man stop acting like a boy or make him stay. The sad truth is I know too many women who have fell victim to that(both in their Teens and even thirties). Hell my sister did it three times.

Politeness doesn't equate to whiteness either. I can not tell you how many times I got that I act like a white girl in middle school because of the way I speak or carry myself. Like are you saying that black people are uncouth? People don't realize how much they insult themselves while trying to undermine my blackness. And just because I'm polite doesn't mean that I'm weak either because I'll check a b*tch if I feel necessary (with class ofc).

Rule 1: when you witness another black woman being insulted because or her skintone or hair. Stand with her because there is unity in numbers, and when other people see you do this there is a chance it wont happen again.

I don’t believe it exists and I don’t ever instinctively assume another woman is about “code” or “sisterhood” because it almost always will lead you to disappointment. However I make it a point to hold myself to high standard and treat other women with decency. But I know and keep in mind that everyone’s morals are at different levels and reciprocity isn’t guaranteed regardless of any political or societal oppression we may have in common.

I've been into different cultures music and shows/movies since I was a little girl in Haiti and as such, I gravitated towards anime, Asian shows and music. I can't stand when Black Kpop fans make excuses for the blatant anti-Blackness in Asian culture, specifically Korean culture. "They don't know any better" 🙄......Girl, YES. THEY. DO. I was watching a young and pretty Nigerian girl trying out Korean makup styles and she looked so freaking adorable like a doll.😍😍 Than an Asian person commented sayong" She looks more Asian than me and I'm Asian". This goes back to Black girl code "Never assume a Black girl is mixed or otherwise just because she's beautiful." This young girl clearly stated she was Nigerian. So.for.this Asian person to say that was uncouth for. What were they implying that Asian people can only be beautiful that she doesn't look Nigerian? So I said " If you're Asian that was a racist thing to say about other Asians. Are you implying that all Asian look alike?" I also said that African people and those.of diaspora are blessed diversity genes/phenotypes. We all have unique beauty that stands us apart from other races. She doesnt look Asian she looks like her." These people are slick with their words.

    Three things:
    1) If you’ve never experienced a black girl struggle but another black girl/woman has, don’t assume it’s not real or that woman is seeking attention. Be open minded and help her out in overcoming that struggle.
    2) Compliment a black woman’s natural hair instead of asking if she’s wearing a wig, weave, or if she’s mixed for “having good hair.” We already get enough of that from our own men and the people outside of our community.
    3) Expand your options ladies. We don’t have to be race loyal when black men aren’t doing the same and expect us to continue the population of our community.

This is kinda off topic but I wish we could talk about *Tekashi69* and how black women should STAY ON CODE. Black women are mad alongside these colorist black male rappers who are complaining about the culture being destroyed by male rappers like Tekashi but they dont give a single damn when it's non-black or latina women infiltrating our culture and replacing us. In fact, they go out of their way to support them. They accept them with open arms and call black women bitter for our valid complaints about the industry. But as soon as a non-black MALE rapper like Tekashi or Lil Pump is successful, suddenly men like Snoop and T.I. care about the "culture" and aren't called bitter for it. Just a thought. I don't particularly like 69 but Black women should not give a damn about his antics but I see a lot of black women angry and sticking by some of these self-hating black men on this. It actually makes me smirk a little to see 69's video get 200 million views in a week and see all these black men whining about it. Take yo medicine, black men... KTSE!

    • @StefunnyStrange
      @StefunnyStrange 4 ปีที่แล้ว +43

@@Flowergoatflower Exactly. A lot of black men claim black women are anti-black-men but even the ones who preach about colorism and are pro-black-female end up drifting back the other way to stand with black men. It's like we cant help ourselves or something. We are loyal to them and agree with their frustrations even when they are stabbing us in the back. If Tekashi were a female rapper and black women were complaining, most black men would say we are just jealous. We need to wake up! People think they're woke but they're really not.

The worst for me have been Exo and I cringed so badly for the bunch of fans who had one of them say that the black girls were Kai's family in such a derogatory manner. I hope they all stopped following them that day. There's so much evidence of them being colorist and nasty about his skin tone.
Let's not forget them smearing that Chen character in chocolate and him screaming he looks like Kunta Kinte and Korea's own racist caricature, Michol. Search it up. There's even RM saying that it was so dark in a room once that he couldn't see JHope and Taehyung.

OMG!!! This video is triggering me!!!! I can relate to everything you read. My ex husband is Hispanic. I was alone with our daughter in the mall. She was about a year old. A sister approached me smiling at my baby. I knew she was coming to see the baby. Babies do attract attention. She looked at my daughter and upon seeing her light complexion asked me “...what’s she mixed with?” A question I had grown accustomed to since I am dark skinned. I replied “Her father is from El Salvador.” Without hesitation this complete stranger said, “Oh, you know you got with him so you could have a light skinned baby.” Her insecurities projected onto me, I was speechless 😶. I just walked away. 🤦🏾‍♀️

ANOTHER RULE: Just because another black woman has long hair can y'all stop assuming that it's fake, and then when you find out it isn't
assume she is mixed? How do you all get mad when "others" say we can't grow our hair long/ have long hair when you all don't even believe it about your own selves?? Lol

Not gonna lie, I try to complement my peers (black women) when I see them, but there have been quite a few times when I did and the girl responds negatively. For example, I'll say that I like her hair and sis just grills me. Its like...did I say something wrong?

I think one unwritten rule that should be mentioned is to not make other girls insecure about their bodies or who they are. I've been having these moments where people do it to make me feel smaller and less beautiful. Less hatred, more encouragement to celebrate how beautiful we are despite what society says.

It’s crazy how the black race itself is so split. From childhood we characterize light skinned people as acting “lightskinned.” We belittle others for being “too dark.” We shame others for wearing their hair in its natural state because it’s too “crazy” or straightening it because they’re trying too hard to be “European.” It’s so sad that colorism exists within our race, and in the process, our black race is being hurt, when we have bigger issues to conquer. Like maybe...racism and white supremacy. This ignorance comes from lack of education of our race IN TERMS of our race. After taking a Current Issues class as it relates to black people, I feel much more enlightened about many things.

Lo, you could write a book for little girls!!! It would be amazing!! You could call it "A unicorn's guide to self confidence: (Black girls love in white society)" or some ish like that. Lol. Idk. I could just see you writing a book to uplift the girls in the black community. I'd definitely buy the book. I'm biracial but my kids gon be more black than me. Lol. So I'd love to have something like that to help them as they grow. And honestly, you're just a great role model and wise spirit. P.s. I hope I didn't say anything offense or ignorant. I wanted to say something but I didn't want to word it wrong. If I did, please call me out on it. I'd rather grow and correct myself than be foolish. I say that cuz I'm trying to be an ally as apposed to another LS who is unaware of the issues. Just trying to send out Love💖💖💖

Stop bringing race up with it
