This was great! I love talking about locs but sometimes the groups online can get a little catty. This felt like listening in on a conversation amongst friends! TFS ❤
This video was great! The information shared is so helpful as I make my decision to get locs. Your loctician is so nice and knowledgeable. Your hair is beautiful.
I wasn’t given a choice of the size locks I received. My loctition made the decision based on my density. So my locks are tiny, but they are now beginning to break from scalp after 5 years. My lock install was two days, but a total of 15 hours. Working on my crown area as it’s getting thinner. Your hair is gorgeous!
Aww man I'm sorry to hear you're having a hard time with the thinning at the moment. I hope your loctician can find a solution! And I feel you on lock size, I'm my most recent video going live tomorrow about the downsides of Sisterlocks, my locitican and I discuss that as well!
That's a good question. I actually don't go swimming often but when I do, I just wash my hair right after with clarifying shampoo and let it air dry fully.
wet your hair before going into a pool or ocean. wash with clarifying and moisturizing shampoo after. if youre still in the braiding and banding phase you may want to braid and band before going swimming . also there are larger swim caps made for afros and locs like soulcap and swimmacap . sea water can actually help the locking process
This sisterloc and microloc and traditional locs like wow 🤩 its all art when you look at an individual loc up-close just wow
@Sweetlyniki i agree with you so much sis! Thanks!

Your loctician is so sweet as is mine & that makes a huge difference in a great way!
I agree with you there girlfriend! We spend so much time with our locticians that we definitely need to vibe with them!

Awwww I'm glad you thought so. Thanks for watching, and you're so welcome!
How many locs do you have?
I'm not sure because I've never counted. Over 600 I'd guess.
How much are your reties if it takes 5hrs? If you don’t mind me asking.
I don't mind at all. I pay $170 (with no style) each time. My old locticians were $110 and $120 with a style.
How do you protect your sisterlocks from seawater at the beach
That's a good question. I actually don't go swimming often but when I do, I just wash my hair right after with clarifying shampoo and let it air dry fully.

Thanks for this useful information sis! ❤️
Wow. I embrace the ocean experience, sea salt aids the locking process. In the early phase, I braided and band my locks.
@@lenaj5629 thanks for sharing
I have also been very careful who puts there hands in my hair. Its spiritual for me
That's a good point sis! I've been ap fortunate that all my locticians have great energy!
