If its just faith that i need, then why should i read the bible and talk to Jesus and just do whatever i want? I think works are involved like reading the bible but not saying its the main focus as to why u go to heaven but ONLY when God puts in your heart that you have to go here or do this (that to me is works) bc theres a purpose he wants you to fulfill,,,,is why i think works are involved. good question☺️ Jesus offers to take your punishment as a free gift (Romans 6:23) so if something is a free gift, you don’t have to do anything good to earn it. Faith in Jesus Christ paying for your sins is the only reason we go to heaven (Ephesians 2:8-9). Meaning doing good works has no part in our salvation since we are considered guilty for the sins we’ve already committed (Romans 6:23). Therefore, we do good works because we are saved, not to be saved. (Matthew 5:16). A believer is grateful for what Jesus did for them so they now desire to do what is good (Romans 4:5) 🤍

Both Catholics and Protestants are actually in agreement that turning to God at the beginning of the Christian life does justify us without us needing to 'trade' anything in return - God's love is perfect and his mercy really is infinite! The confusion comes from the Council of Trent were it was decreed that those who believe by faith alone are mistaken (or anathema), but this was more in relation to decrying those who merely commit themselves to an intellectual agreement to Christianity rather than one born of love. And the form, the life of Christ, is love; hence to believe is to conform to Christ and to enter into his love. So it is that in the Letter to the Galatians in which he primarily developed his teaching on justification St. Paul speaks of faith that works through love” (General Audience, Nov. 19, 2008). One more thing I would add is that passage from James that says "faith is completed by works / faith without works is dead". Meaning that though salvation is a free gift through faith in Chrst, we cannot claim that we know or have faith in Christ if it isn't demonstrated by how we live ❤

@@Lively_Finessed well, long story (kinda?) short, i used to be very religious. i grew up christian and i was quite devout. somewhere along the way, i started having questions. i always did have questions of course, we all do. but this time i just had many. i decided to sit down and research these questions seriously and it felt like the more answers i got, the more questions i ended up leaving with. eventually, i admitted that none of it made sense to me anymore and i left religion entirely. i still love hearing about other people’s beliefs/culture as it’s something that’s always interested me. the world is a diverse place and i wanna appreciate that without getting offended or expecting everyone to agree with me like i used to lmao.

hi amy!! im a Christian with all of my heart! we do have slightly different beliefs tho! while i do believe that Jesus dying in the cross was the ultimate sacrifice, i also believe that asking for forgiveness is important. also, i believe that praying and reading the bible are huge for faith, as you cant have a relationship without communication, even if its your relationship with God, which is necessary in order to believe Jesus died for us. Absolutely! 🤍🫶🏼 As it says, faith without works is dead (James 2:26). Good works come naturally to someone who is truly trusting in Christ alone. Christians are called to pray, fellowship, read the word of God, and ask forgiveness. We want to represent Christ in our lives and glorify God! (2 Corinthians 5:20) These are all important things in the life and sanctification of a believer but they do not earn us salvation, only Jesus Christ by dying on the cross and paying for our punishment ☺️ (Ephesians 2:8-9)

Amy loved the message you gave here. The Gospel gives us direction for our lives, and you layed it out beautifully. The one question regarding do you have to ask for forgiveness to go to Heaven you were right it is free, but repenting of your sins to Jesus brings his forgiveness as if we never sinned. Through Jesus is the only way to enter into Heaven. Take care.

I believe this video is an answer to one of my prayers bc I had a debate with someone on TikTok who was posting videos saying that those who died without being baptized will go to hell. I argued that only Jesus gets us into heaven, but I prayed for God to give me a sign of whether I was right or wrong, bc I don’t want to accidentally lead others on the wrong path. no offense but i have a question, when you say “no sin is too big for jesus not to forgive” how far does that go? who goes to hell then? a guy who cussed once in his life who never believed in jesus? or a murderer who believes in jesus?
Remember Jesus does not think oor act as human do... Remember the father of creation and Jesus the Christ who carries the dna 🧬 of the father knows that from the beginning that sin has its father and it is because of the weekness of human why sin had the chance to enter existence . so both father jahoviah and son Jesus Christ remember the purity of what was initially in Creation.. and it moved the son to talk to the father yea and after a length of reasoning the father sent his 1 son To go and destroy the father of Sin. my family is christian, they go to church every Sunday and my uncle is a pastor. since i was a lil girl i knew i liked both boys and girls, but church and the word of god made me feel so ashamed and disgusted of something really beautiful. i am not lascivious but they made me feel like it. you are so sweet and im happy you share your beliefs in a respectful way but when you start reading the bible u can see god is not only love, cause i have to lie about liking boys and force myself to see a future with a husband crying myself to sleep

@@Lively_Finessed well, long story (kinda?) short, i used to be very religious. i grew up christian and i was quite devout. somewhere along the way, i started having questions. i always did have questions of course, we all do. but this time i just had many. i decided to sit down and research these questions seriously and it felt like the more answers i got, the more questions i ended up leaving with. eventually, i admitted that none of it made sense to me anymore and i left religion entirely.
i still love hearing about other people’s beliefs/culture as it’s something that’s always interested me. the world is a diverse place and i wanna appreciate that without getting offended or expecting everyone to agree with me like i used to lmao.

i also love how you pointed out that baptism doesn’t save you. i’ve known so many people who claim they are saved and a christian because they’ve been baptized as a baby. first, baptism is a symbol of salvation. it shows that you trusted Jesus Christ as your savior, but baptism itself doesn’t save you. second, a baby doesn’t even understand salvation. you have to believe in your heart that we are all sinners and that Jesus died for our sins.

hi amy!! im a Christian with all of my heart! we do have slightly different beliefs tho! while i do believe that Jesus dying in the cross was the ultimate sacrifice, i also believe that asking for forgiveness is important. also, i believe that praying and reading the bible are huge for faith, as you cant have a relationship without communication, even if its your relationship with God, which is necessary in order to believe Jesus died for us. The one question regarding do you have to ask for forgiveness to go to Heaven you were right it is free, but repenting of your sins to Jesus brings his forgiveness as if we never sinned. I believe this video is an answer to one of my prayers bc I had a debate with someone on TikTok who was posting videos saying that those who died without being baptized will go to hell. I argued that only Jesus gets us into heaven, but I prayed for God to give me a sign of whether I was right or wrong, bc I don’t want to accidentally lead others on the wrong path. Yes you heard me right .. we were never Humans .. we are now human because sin causes us to be human. But hey we all can remove sin and reunion back to our purest form. Thanks to Christ Jesus the son who made that possible to be equal with our father again. Remember sin is for human. So question.. why stay a human when we all can get back to our divine purity and be equally with Jesus Christ and our father.

- -If you have trouble reading the Bible try to read it even for 5 minutes a day (if you're really too tired read a psalm or a proverb ✨)
- -Talk to God during the day (as if he were your best friend tell him everything entrust yourself to him with respect of course ☺️),
