    I love how you go straight to the point instead of talking 5-10 minutes about random stuff. It shows real respect for your viewers time.
    And thanks for the tips! They are all extremely helpful! In particular: not planning the details, knowing what the next action is and not taking immersive breaks.
    Have a great rest of the week!

    Not having all details scheduled was a revelation! That is EXACTLY what my problem has been. I want to stick to habits, but hate when I set these habits apps that tell me I need to do it at a certain time. I never stick to them with that pressure. But I love just ticking things off in a list. So thank you for putting it that way... And finding my personality through MBTI helped me tremendously learning my tendencies and quirks.

    I find knowing our “why” is powerful for anyone. When your “why” is strong, all those “why nots” aren’t so big. If a client is struggling with following through, if we work on looking at all the reasons the actually DO want to do the things, why it matters, and even who we are, the actions unavoidable.

    this is so crazy ! I went to the library yesterday to get out a new book and I was in a rush and I decided on Better Than Before by Gretchen Rubin and last night I read the chapter on the four tendencies! Woke up this morning and this is the first video I have clicked on and you mention it!!! Literally never heard of her of the four tendencies before picking up her book and reading it last night, Love this video as always! xxx

    "Lizard Brain" 😂 🦎 This is too true! The worst is when you see your phone, pick it up, get sucked into watching highly productive and/ or organised, disciplined people on TH-cam (like the lovely @muchelleb) talk about how to be productive, organised and disciplined, realising you're not being productive, organised or disciplined in that moment, you're just procrastinating and satisfying your lizard brain! 😂

    Love from Western Australia 💕 My lists of reasons WHY I need/want to do x y z keep me doing my habits to reach me to my goals.
    Why 1.
    Why 2.
    Why 3. Equals motivation.
    "Clearing my FUZZ" love it. It also calms anxiety.
    I have been putting my phone away before I go to sleep. Yes. turn phone off and put it away.

    About seeing your phone being a trigger to reach it, I actually remember that I've read some article about cognitive science and how our brain focus attention. So if you are sitting at the desk and your phone is laying on top, regardless how much you want to stay focused on whatever you are doing, our brain unconsciously will be spreading focus to the phone, constantly monitoring any notification, whether you want or realise it or not. So at the end you are not fully focusing your attention at what you are actually doing. I really advise "Focus" book by Daniel Goleman for this topic!

    Because this video is packed with great info, I think I’ll have to watch it a couple of times to mine it all. I just started reading “Deep Work” yesterday. I've been trying out the batching lately too and so far going great. As a mom of three I can't blog for hours straight, but it's actually helpful cause every time I go to clean something, cook or get a snack for the kids my brain keeps fetching me new ideas about what I was writing about and once I get back to my computer I have even more material :)

    I'm my own role, called the "Slacker", or the "Procrastinator". It's practically the "Rebel" role, but with a different description. It would state that a Procrastinator/Slacker is someone who has good intentions for others, but falls short in what is needed to be done, even if that thing that is needed to be done is needed by yourself.

    • @YeetusMcGee
      @YeetusMcGee 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I attempt to do high value and highly required tasks like practicing my guitar or trumpet, but I always push them farther and farther back like the procrastinator I am until I'm literally buried in chores and tasks. This is because I set an already very low expectation for myself and I always try to find a loophole or work around for the schedule which was literally made to be the work around itself.

    I love this video! Exactly what I needed. Getting multiple tendency results is a classic Questioner trademark. You question your to-dos and need justification based on your values. I wouldn’t say that you’re ‘rebelling’ against your past self, it’s more that you question the efficiency/necessity of doing things a certain way :)

  • @anonymousreview9006
    @anonymousreview9006 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    Hey :) a lot of your videos have really helped me. I find myself really making changes in my life using your videos. You will explain things really well and in a way that is super easy for me to apply immediately. Using the four tendencies I found out I really need to know my why and that has helped me tremendously. Using the 80/20 principle is life changing. Same with the happiest $100.. i realized my happiest $100 would be to get my dog in tip top shape lol. Just get her groomed and get her shots taken care of. And I’m just super into minimalism in general and have started keeping a planner! Even small advice you give is so helpful! Like making it easy for you to do your goals. I realized for me to blow dry my hair I either had to stand in the bathroom for 30 minutes or lug a heavy chair in there. Bought a $6 mirror for my room now I can comfortably sit on the floor and do it. I really love all of your videos. Thanks for all your help :)

    • @anonymousreview9006
      @anonymousreview9006 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      A video idea i had that would really help me personally if you made.. basically I have identified a lot of things in my life that I’m embarrassed or ashamed of and it really holds me back. Something as simple my dog needing to be groomed and me not having the money to do. Or me having gained weight and having to wear all clothes that I don’t like because literally I can’t find any clothes that fit me properly now. Or my hair having been chemically damaged and just having to wait it out. Or not having the money to decorate my apartment with even small cheap stuff, let alone furniture. Basically just how to proactively solve or feel better or take actions steps towards the things we are self conscious about that take time and won’t happen over night.

I love writing, drawing, reading, learning about my religions and creating TH-cam videos. But then I also have things I have to do (because there’s a class or just for my own good) like school, dance classes (I love dancing too), working and going to the gym. I always have this thing where I focus on one of my hobbies for a week and then stop doing it and move to the next. It’s not good because at the end of the day I end up missing them all and getting mad at myself for not being able to sort it out :(

    So I'm supposedly a rebel.. and to fix my scheduling issues, I don't make to-do lists anymore. I brain dump, and make a list of "checkpoints" for the day. That way I clarify my priorities and why, ignore the unimportant tasks that distract me, and I don't tie myself to a particular schedule. Most often, the important stuff gets done first, I don't get weighed down by expectations and minutia, and once I'm done with 'my' stuff, my brain space is freed, my capacity to help others is increased, and I'm able to tackle frogs and nagging tasks that are less urgent.
