USPS deals with the worst on the daily, people get irate in their with the employees, been a customer and have seen it first hand. Peoples mailboxes are messed up or they moved and they are getting final notices on bills. Those employees muster through.
Then enters jimmy the dumb fuck who finally got the phone with the camera and knows all the laws and is fighting for our rights before the man come and strips them from our arms. Go pick up some trash somewhere you loser. Go fuck yourself because you can.

So the one clerk even admits that he is able to film yet she still calls stating he needs to be removed. It's ironic they call him a "disturbance" when it's their overblown reaction and the attitude of the other patrons that is a real disturbance. Honestly if they want to make themselves look bad and lose paid business, then that's their prerogative.

The postal female was guilty of beach of code of conduct of postal employees in being discourteous in interaction with a customer .. USPS Employee and Labor Relation Manual: 665.16 Behavior and Personal Habits Employees are expected to conduct themselves during and outside of working hours in a manner that reflects favorably upon the Postal Service. Although it is not the policy of the Postal Service to interfere with the private lives of employees, it does require that postal employees be honest, reliable, trustworthy, courteous, and of good character and reputation.

Have you ever noticed how most cops immediately side with the businesses in these scenarios? 20 years ago, I had a situation with an out of control, Asian store owner. She became so aggressive, I called the police. An older white cop and a young, Asian cop arrived on the scene. The Asian cop immediately sided with the business owner, but the white cop stepped in, told the Asian cop to walk away, listened to my side of the story, and instructed the store owner to give me my belongings or face being arrested for theft.
We need more officers who listen and apply the law fairly.

The Postal Service has incurred cumulative net losses of $63.6 billion from 2007 through June 30, 2017, and projects continuing annual net losses in the future absent legislative and regulatory change. The Postal Service also warned it will most likely default on $6.9 billion in payments for future retiree health benefits for the fifth consecutive year. The organization owes $33.9B in unfunded retiree health obligations from unpaid dues in 2012 through 2016. Although competing services such as FedEx and UPS deliver documents, it is illegal to compete with the USPS in the delivery of first-class and third-class mail

FYI 3802 is a texas thing. It doesn't count in any other state, but i agree with everything you said. You gotta go there prepared for the worst and well practiced on what to say in each situation. Write the laws down and practice it in the mirror if you have to. Its not enough to watch a bunch of other audits and think you'll remember how to respond because you saw someone else do it. Adrenaline can make the best of us clam up and forget what to do.

Mike lee Absolutely agree with being well versed and being prepared for the adrinaline rush. I'm very well versed and know my rights well but I was pulled over unexpectedly and unlawfully and that rush makes a huge difference. I kept it together enough to hit record, not knocked the phone out of the holder twice.. actually looked at the officer and said "pause." I stumbled but got though it all... I've very proud of the result, but only have shown a few that video. My success was that it was a brand new car and my still had the dealer paper plates and never gave up a single identifying hint, was terrifying cause the officer was escalating the situation. While I knew my rights I'd never needed to stand up for them, the end result is that my four boys know those rights better than I did and exactly what each one means and significant case law. I hope it prepares them better than I was that day.

"Thank God you're here officer. They said they want me to leave. I ask you, could they make me leave because of my race? No? Could they make me leave because of my religion, or age, or disability? No? Well, they also can't make me leave because of the fact that I'm exercising my well established 1st Amendment right to record public employees in the performance of their duties in a public place. This is constitutionally protected conduct and it would be a violation of the 1st and 14th Amendments to enforce a trespassing statute solely to prevent me from exercising my right. In fact, it would be a federal crime to do so under color of law. So I'm really glad you're here, because I know you swore an oath to support and defend the constitution against all enemies, both foreign and domestic. I know that as a police officer, you take your oath very seriously. Please explain to these people that they can't force me to leave or deny me service because it would violate your sworn oath if you allowed them to do so. I need your help as a sworn defender of my rights to assist me in the midst of these domestic enemies of the constitution."

DS I don't think calling the post office to complain about their employees being rude, and refusing to serve a customer who came to the post office to buy stamp counts as harassment. Also these women are recorded by gas station, groceries stores, clothing stores, and numerous other businesses on a daily basis. I can bet money that they don't call the police on those other places where they are recorded.

USPS is 100% government and is not private as it is an "establishment of the executive branch of the Government of the United States", (39 U.S.C. § 201) as it is controlled by Presidential appointees and the Postmaster General. US Postal Service v. Flamingo Industries, the Supreme Court ruled that because USPS is a government agency, it cannot be sued under federal antitrust law - even when it acts in ways that would be illegal for a private enterprise. By declaring that USPS cannot be sued under anti-trust law, the Supreme Court reaffirmed USPS IS A GOVERNMENT AGENCY, NOT A PRIVATE COMPANY.

    POST OFFICE IS GOVERNMENT
"The USPS often is mischaracterized as a quasi-governmental or private entity. It is neither. The USPS is a government agency that was created by Congress to achieve various public purposes. Federal law defines what products and services the Postal Service may offer. Additionally, the USPS’s employees are federal employees who participate in the Civil Service Retirement System, the Federal Employees Retirement System, and the Federal Employees Health Benefits Program." The Supreme Court has even weighed in on what being “independent” means for the USPS, in an opinion from 2004: The PRA’s designation of the Postal Service as an “independent establishment of the executive branch of the Government of the United States,” 39 U. S. C. §201, is not consistent with the idea that the Postal Service is an entity existing outside the Government. Indeed, the designation indicates just the contrary. The PRA gives the Postal Service a high degree of independence from other Government offices, but it remains part of the Government. postalnews.com/blog/2015/05/09/postal-myths-2-the-usps-is-not-a-government-agency/

Employees must be working within their scope of responsibilities before they can admonish a customer or deny service. It is unreasonable to believe every front line employee such as those depicted in this video has the power to trespass customers.
If it's illegal to video in there, why didn’t they also focus on or address the other customer who started filming?
The same postal workers depicted in this video would be screaming from the rooftops if they walked into a high end store or someplace unaccustomed to their presence and were asked to leave because they made other customers feel uncomfortable. Too many people guard the henhouse to no end and fail to see themselves in another venue.

CHOATE V. UNITED STATES POSTAL SERVICE, ET AL.On August 6, 2012, approximately two weeks after Choate began handing out leaflets outside of the Post Office, Postmaster Terrena Moore approached him as he handed out his leaflets and ordered him to leave the property or face arrest. Choate refused to leave the property, and the police were called. The police told Choate that he was trespassing, but Choate refused to leave because he believed that he had a right to engage in such activity on the Post Office’s property. The police arrested Choate, and the charges were later dropped.Choate filed a complaint against the Postal Service and various Postal Service officials on July 29, 2011 in federal district court. The Postal Service filed a Response to the motion and attached a letter from the United States Attorney for the Western District of Tennessee as an exhibit. The letter stated that “leafleting as described in the affidavit is permitted by Postal Service regulations [and] Mr. Choate is free to resume leafleting in such manner.” The district court held a hearing on the Motion on September 20, 2011, and issued an order denying the motion two days later.

You do not leave when the police come and contact you. That's when you actually stay longer and record more of what you're legally allowed to. Once you leave in this manner, the police and government workers *feel* they've won that battle, and that is not a battle they can *legally* win.

808BADD The problem with poster 7 is that it states that Photographs for news purposes may be taken in entrances, lobbies, foyers, corridors, or auditoriums when used for public meetings EXCEPT WHERE PROHIBITED BY OFFICIAL SIGNS OR SECURITY FORCE PERSONNEL OR OTHER AUTHORIZED PERSONNEL OR A FEDERAL COURT ORDER OR RULE. This means that post office personnel can direct you to stop photography and therein lies a problem to be challenged!
