Packing a SOTA Turntable for shipping

The most important things to remember are:
1. Lock out suspension with foam between rubber feet sub chassis.
2. Lock out platter with two Allen retaining screws on either side of main platter bolt . Make sure to screw retaining screws all the way in so platter can not make contact with bearing and damage sapphire.
3. Foam inserts around platter will ensure no shifting in transit.

This is a great Turntable indeed . I have had mine for 28years . Never missed a beat and built like a brick ship yard . An American Classic .

@@leperlord7078 there is no reason, it's a joke. SOTA clearly didn't want people inside of the turntable, but this is just a waste of time, and SOTA should be ashamed of themselves for putting the end user through this nonsense when you can unscrew three screws and pull the entire platter and bearing out of the table without much trouble at all.

@@chrisw.3077 Its dead easy to get inside this turntable if you want. I've replaced all the springs on my Nova. What this guy is doing is making it simple for the layman, with the bearing screws in its easy to transport instead of having to pull it apart. You should be ashamed of yourself for asking people to pull their table apart when transport is as easy as this. Get a life.
