    As for somebody who has flown my large labrador a handful of times between UK, Europe and even Asia (with enormous crates like giant varikennel and PP70) , these information are such life-saver! I'm keen on buying the impact collapsible crate to trial it when I bring my dog back in the UK next year (we're enjoying the beach life in the Philippines for now). Do you ship in the Philippines?

    Unfortunately, as of 2021, Delta will no longer accepts metal crates. Even with the IATA modifications that Impact sells, Delta’s policy is they only allow the plastic dog crates.

      @@Mark1Mach2 you’re welcome. I wish it weren’t so, our impact crate is amazing but Delta wouldn’t accept it, and we had to find a crate big enough for our Dog very last minute.

      Why is this a thing? Could it be because metal conducts heat? Pads are required for the dog to rest on. These crates are very expensive and I would not want to come across this kind of restriction at any turn.

    Thank you so much!! This is very helpful. My chihuahua has never fly before. I feel hopeful flying with Alaska airlines!! QUESTION THO. is a small stuffed animal okay? She never chews her toys, but if she's stressed out is there a possibility. would she choke on it?

    • @ImpactDogCrates
      @ImpactDogCrates  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      So glad to hear this was helpful info for you! As for flying with a stuffed animal, we don't recommend it incase your pup does decide to chew it and possibly choke with no supervision. You can also ask Alaska airlines or your preferred airlines to find out what you're allowed to put in her crate. Thank you!

    Hi there. Very informative video! I really enjoyed it, thanks for the content. I'm looking for some advice if possible! I have recently bought a carrier for my dog, it meets IATA standards and the size requirements for the airline (just). My dog fits in the carrier, however I'd call it a "perfect fit" in terms of the length of the crate being almost exactly the length of my dog (tip of nose to base of tail) and the height of the crate being equally snug when compared to the top of my dogs ears sitting down or standing up. He can fully stand up, sit down and turn around in the crate but I'm worried that I'll be turned away at the airport on the day of departure because there isn't masses of excess room beyond the measurements of my dog (however, width wise, he has plenty of space). My questions is; generally, are they more concerned with the dimensions, IATA standards and weight limit being met than the carrier being "roomy" for your pet? Thanks!

    • @ImpactDogCrates
      @ImpactDogCrates  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi there! This is a great question! Unfortunately more often then not it can come down to the gate agent working that day. Generally speaking though if your dog is not crouched over and can easily turn around you should be in good shape!

    • @ImpactDogCrates
      @ImpactDogCrates  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi! Yes it's possible, since this crate is heavier than our other models, some airlines have some restrictions. We recommend calling your airline ahead of time to see which pet cargo regulations they have in place as each airline is a bit different. If you have any further questions, feel free to chat with us via call or text 208 908 0118. Thank you!

    If you are travelling internationally, the health certificate from your vet is not enough. You also need USDA certification of your vet's health certificate to enter another country, and that takes several days at least to receive back from the USDA office. Do NOT wait to go to the vet the day before your flight!!

    • @ImpactDogCrates
      @ImpactDogCrates  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi! We use our wheel cart that easily attaches to the bottom of the crate and when not in use, it can be attached to the top of the crate. No tools necessary to attach/detach it. It also has foot brakes so your crates won't roll away. You can check these out here: www.impactdogcrates.com/collections/accessories/products/dog-crate-cart-200

    Just received my impact collapsable crate Im flying on Hawaiian Airlines next year with my dog he is booked on my flight. Flying JFK to Honolulu. What do you do with the keys? Is the crate door locked? Why no collar on the dog ? My dog already loves the crate & I use same bones. Great video.

    • @ImpactDogCrates
      @ImpactDogCrates  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you for your support! You will not want to lock the crate when flying in the event the airline needs to open it, especially if there is an emergency situation. The concern for the collar is if it has any hooks or tags that could potentially get stuck in a ventilation hole. This is very unlikely and generally only for a dog that is not well crate trained. We are glad to hear your dog loves the crate!

    • @ImpactDogCrates
      @ImpactDogCrates  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Hailey, we do offer a wheel car to make this easier with your dog inside the crate. The other option would be the handles on the top of the crate. However depending on the size of your dog that can be a little difficult.
