I will always remember being at EVO2014, and before the Top 8 Finals for SFIV, they played Indestructable and the entire crowd sang along. Truly a memory I will carry forever.
Even after sf6’s release, this still remains the best fighting game intro til this day, probably the best fighting game intro ever, too much to say lol, too many memories.
In my opinion the original Street Fighter 4 is better than the updates (Super, Ultra). In SF4, there are only the most iconic characters from SF2 and SF Alpha, the new ones are great, too (except Abel). The updates have more second-class characters (Makoto, Dudley, ...) and SF4 has the best music at the roster where you choose your fighter.
one of the best Intros in fighting games ever.. i am tekken player BUT cant see kazuya and heihachi throws each other into an abyss... tekken gameplay and street fighter intros or trailer and i am nerdgasm :D sry i am from germany but i think everyone understands hahaha..
You make perfect sense, don't worry. And yes, this is in my opinion as well, the best intro in a fighting game. My nerdgasm would be, a street fighter game with a good story, because besides this awesome intro, sf4 gives you very little story hints, that was my single complain about this game.
People saying this was their childhood memories is wild. Being in my 20's at the time... this was our childhood coming back. I remember being here in Asia, seeing grown ass businessman stop in their tracks, slackjawed in front of game stores... because it was back. Street Fighter was back. Shit was a wild feeling.

My SF game. Sure i grew up with SFll turbo and old school fighters but sf4 is where i put in actual training. Who would've thought that my playstyle was charge character? Shadoloo to the end.
Alot of folks say this is super cheesy or whatever but when this dropped all of my Streetfighter nostalgia came back and I LOVED this. Hey, I am a 37 year street fighter veteran! Starting from the very first one! And as for bread, let's see. I'd say it increased 6 times in value since from my earliest memory.
This song brings me back when the first time I saw a SF4 poster where Ryu doing Hadouken pose with 🕹⬇️↘️➡️ next to him and a caption says "Let's do this". The hype was real back then..
I remember all the hate this intro used to get on message boards when it first came out and people were calling it an NSync song, but I always loved it. A more innocent time.
I remember reading about this game a lot as a teenager in a magazine from my country and i always wanted to play it. Years later when i was finally able to get the Play 3 and the game and started to play, the circle was full ❤. Love this intro, honestly both japanese and English version of the theme are so cool (and of course i love the second song too) 😄
Just the best street fighter game of all time I love the old ones and future ones to come but this is the the cherry on the cake for me just so awesome.
This one bridged the old technique, with new technology. SF3 didn't do it well. The newer ones I can't really enjoy, they changed the fighting scheme in SF v Tekken, for example. Then there are those that have hidden DLC characters. You get to buy a $50 game, but it's not the whole game.. yeah, it sucks, man. This was a complete, and fulfilling game. Probably one of the last ones.
I grew up on Street Fighter 2. Street Fighter 3 was cool but wasn't the same. There was a time where it felt like Street Fighter, and fighting games period, were honestly dead. It didn't feel like they would ever come back. Until this. This fucking lights me up every time and look at the fucking fighting game REVIVAL we have had since then. Street Fighter 4 dropped in 2008 and it lit the torch for so many other fighting games to come. I love it.
The Volcanic Rim music in the second half is kind of an "arranged mix" since, when you listen to it carefully and compare it to the Volcanic Rim Stage's own track you can tell it sounds slightly different.
Me and the boys travelling across the country to street fight (Also this one of the best openings to any game. I remember playing this on the Xbox 360 back when I was young and it was so much fun, even watching and listening to the opening. Also this is the best fighting game)
i have every street fighter on ps4 from 1st to 3rd (30 anniversary)) then on ps3 street fighter IV street fighter IV super And ultra and ps4 the V (fifth) and i was 5 years old when my dad buyed the ps3 just to play street fighter IV and i liked it. It's broken now.
[marbardan] tell me about it. I was about 12 when sf2 turbo released for the super Nintendo. And I had to pay about $90 for a game made of simple sprites, with no trace of 3D whatsoever. I will be 45 when apophis passes close to earth, and we find out if it hits it or not. And 52 when it passes by again. It's crazy how fast time passes by. And after all that time we still don't have hoverboards, true VR, or AI that will fix all our human faults. It just sucks getting old man.
@Namson Do Van hey you ignorant foreign millennial, why don’t you check to see what “dopest” means in American slang, then you can delete your comment.

That must have been awesome to see!
This hit so different back then. I don't think I ever skipped this intro before playing
Even after a few years gone, this intro never gets old and makes you wanna keep pushing forward.
When ryu and ken do a sparing session then Ryu gets carried away. Ryu "Metsu Hadouken" Ken "oh shit we were only sparring" KO!
To us it seems Ryu & Ken are taking a sparring match too seriously.
But for them... It was Tuesday.
😏
I loved coming home and quickly doing my homework just to play this game
