- During our two weeks in Japan, we took a day trip to one of the most famous climbing areas Mitake. This picturesque riverside crag has classic boulders like Ninja Gaeshi and tough topouts like Haigyo. Though we had less than 24 hours to climb we made the most of the afternoon enjoying the beautiful fall weather. This vlog features half of the boulders we climbed on and part 2 will feature the rest!
TIMESTAMPS:
0:43 train to Mitake
2:00 warming up
4:02 Ninja Gaeshi V5/6
5:08 Sunobori V7
6:40 Haigyo V9+
Thanks for watching + supporting us!

Sheesh Noah is a BEAST, he just destroyed my project 😅 The top out on Haigyo is tricky indeed, my friend broke his leg when he slipped on it. Good call on re looking at it from the top.
Excited for part 2!
Ooff I was so nervous he was gonna fall at the top. It’s pretty tall 😬 sorry to hear about your friend! I hope you get it one day!!
Nice to see you out, and even more, in Japan

Beautiful! I went to Mitake last year while I was in Tokyo. I just hiked mt mitake though, no climbing. I guess that’s a reason to go back though. Nice climbing!
Definitely check out the climbing there on your next trip!
🔥
Taking notes, thank you for the video :)
Was there a noticeable issue with chipping there?
We didn’t notice anything on our trip, though supposedly Ninja Gaeshi was chipped and made harder a few years ago? Unfortunate if true :/
Outdoor downclimbs are always so scary 😭
I’m glad I’m not the only one who thinks that 😆
the last route,haigyo is v8
I thought the thumbnail said ‘mistake’ 😅😂
