Perissa Beach Santorini

Perissa is the largest, most comfortable and crowded beach in Santorini, not only by tourists but also by locals who come here. It takes its name from the nearby village of the same name, whose inhabitants became famous for fishing. Now it is one of the most popular resorts on the island, and the beach is almost the only place in Santorini, which is perfect for families with children. You can relax here as comfortably and safely as possible, which attracts many holidaymakers.
The main features of Perissa are:
it hardly ever blows here, which is a rarity in Greece.
The coast and seabed are sandy, with occasional gray and black volcanic sand mixed with pebbles of the same color.
Some parts of the seabed are covered with rocks, so be careful while swimming so as not to injure yourself.
When the water is calm, it is very clear, which makes for good exploration of the underwater world and snorkeling.
The beach has been awarded the Blue Flag several times, proving its cleanliness.
