That's one sick looking dolphin!
The tail fin is the wrong way to be a dolphin.
😂🤣😂🤣🐬🐬🐬
😂
Tell me you never seen a dolphin without telling me you never seen a dolphin...
@@MrMartinSchouit looks more like a dolphin than a shark.
I vote we combine the "all animal epoxy tables all the time" idea with the "head popping out" idea and am gonna say... Hippo table.
I love that idea, but here's a slight upgrade... add a fish flopping inside of the hippos open mouth
Make 4 of them and make the mouths able to move: a Hungry Hungry Hippos table.
Came here to also say hungry hippo XD
Hippo would be awesome. Even better if the mouth opened to reveal a bottle of bourbon and 2 glasses. :)
Omg yes!
just in time for shark week! 🦈
how'd this only get 8 likes?
Skibidi toilet 😂
Yt commenting is crazy
My favorite part of this was all the shots and references to the other shark table rather than keeping it hidden. You exposed your growth as a woodworker/builder which, as a viewer who is also a woodworker/builder, means a lot. You never pretend to be perfect yet you use what you've learned help all your viewers grow with you. Great work to the whole team!
The ripple carving in the water absolutely made the difference. Great project!
Waiting for Part 3: ,,I put a real shark in epoxy table“
Damien Hirst is calling
Just uses a taxidermied shark
😂😂
Part 4: “I put an epoxy table in a real shark”
@@chandlerscatena7620 wait what ?🤣
I was not convinced that the carving would work and I was so wrong. The ripples look amazing and really make the whole piece work. Top stuff. 🤘
I was 110% sure you were gonna mess it up with the attempts at the ripples, but you nailed it. They really do bring the whole thing together perfectly.
River sharks, the most terrifying of all sharks.
Almost as terrifying as street sharks
Yep, Bull Sharks aka Zambezi Sharks are no joke!
They are definitely the most terrifying as far as I'm concerned
Bull sharks will travel up freshwater rivers
Because that's where you least expect them
SUUUHHHH-WEEET! Very nicely done. AND, as a scuba diver, I know EXACTLY what you need to do with that table. You need to donate it to a scuba shop (there are a some good ones near you), maybe in exchange for some intro diving lessons. Your "trade" would expose a local business to the world AND give us all a chance to watch you "shenanigize" an amazing experience that all of the guys in your shop should try. Don't worry though. Those lessons are given in a pool...very safe, but so "squirrelly-izable".
That's a great idea....
A scuba shop in Pittsburgh?
i agree!!
@@MaryCumbersnatch Underwater Welding...?🤔
Steel City Scuba, Spalsh Water Sports, Divehards International, Pittsburgh Scuba Cetner...just to name a few.
I am a shark fan and loved the last one you did. You stepped up your game on this one. The ripple effect was well worth your time. I can not wait to see the next one you do. Keep up the awesome work guys!!!!
I never comment on your videos, I literally just watched this video on my tv and then had to grab my phone, go to my history, click on your video again just to say.... Holy shit you boys nailed this one. Like that is some shit to be proud of for real, absolutely awesome execution and result.
SICK DOLPHIN TABLE BRO!
Take it you never seen a dolphin because you would notice the tail fin is the wrong way for a dolphin.
Eventhough the tail is from a shark, it still looks like a dolfin.
@@dilligaf700 bro... watch the dang video
@@dilligaf700 it's just in the process of a barrel roll, duh!
🤣
Your best Great White Porpoise Table yet !!!!
The ripples made it all more realistic, good addition.
Way better than the last one. Good work. Now that you've proven you can make it good, please make the version with the head sticking out.
Killer table!!! The waves get chef’s kiss! I agree that having the head up and mouth gaping open would be next level!!!
Definitely an improvement on number 1. The same looks really good and makes it pop. My only critique is that the shark looks too symmetrical, it needs to show movement within the shark. Sharks twist and bend in the water, which obviously makes your job harder. Good post, entertaining. 👍
Definitely needs to look like it is moving. It also is in bad need of the pectoral fins.
Definitely agree with you that I have never seen a shark that's straight in the water, it's always bent at the tail, cause it's always moving.
Brilliant video as always though
The Flipper table looks great!!
The Step Brothers clip sold me. Amazing work! Love it!
The carved ripples really make this table! So glad you did those.
When you were pulling in the fin to try get some waves in the blue, I half expected it to break off in your hands. Glad it didn't - looks great!
Dude that is badass, the hand carved ripples look great
I adore sharks and thought your previous one was fantastic. On this one, you really up your game. Your time was well spent on the ripple effect. I am forward to see what you accomplish with the next one. Guys, keep up the fantastic work!
Mooorrrrrreeeeeeeee.
Your third one is gonna be legendary!!
Dolphin + shark = dork table
Love it man, looks awesome
The irony or coincidence of what a dork actually is.....
I read the title as shrek not shark and was so confused XD
okay now I want a Shrek swap table!
@@Kats4Brekkie A 'Shrek swimming through a swamp with his butt floating above the water' table would be amazing!
That comment that said the shark looked like it had Downs almost took me out🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
DJ Khaled.......Another One!!!
wow! the ripples in the resin made a huge difference, it added some really cool depth to the already super amazing table, what a great work of art!!
"it looks like a dolphin 🐬" 😂😂😂
Shark shape but certainly color-wise, all dolphin. More convincing shark if showing it’s distinctive teeth; even more distinctive grasping a severed leg. Now THAT would be a conversation piece… no coffee-table book needed 😀
@@gr8dvddid you watch the whole video yet? 😂
@@SinclairBikeTrials Yes…. now I have thx to your comment 😂😂
@@gr8dvd 🤣🤙
It needs LED lights
This is gorgeous! You did an amazing job. I’m not one of the folks who bashed the last table but I do have to say I am really happy you did a version 2 of the shark table because this is dope!
My girl had a great idea. Make it a yearly table build and see how much you improve and how much more detail you can put in!
The Flipper tribute table is Rad!
Congratulations on the new addition to the family
Very cool table! I would love to see the next table with the shark head popping out!
I think a manatee river table would be awesome. It'd be fairly easy, too, as the manatee is usually completely underwater. I see them in a lot of paddle-boarding videos in Florida where people are paddle-boarding in a river and there are manatees just swimming along underneath the paddleboards. It's pretty cool.
Wow, impressive. I love how you captured the true essence of a dolphin swimming. The ripples really make the dolphin look like its moving, great work!
Florida Alligator .... That would be SWEEEEEEEET!!!!
Great idea! If they do end up making one like this again they should definitely do this.
What an awesome table guys!! Knocked it out of the park in this one. Love it
My daughters love the dolphin table! They want to know if you can do a unicorn table next! 🤣 seriously though, looks awesome 👏👏👏
Thats Freaking Awesome!!! You guys nailed it!!! Definitely something different that people will love!! Peace
The ripples made the entire table. Excellent work!
I think we gotta do one like this with the head popping out just for science! 😂 sweet table man! It’s sick
Adding pectoral fins would make it look more like a shark and less like a dolphin, looks sick though!
I understand the internet isnt the nicest place but please know I thought that first shark was really cool and this one is also awesome! This is so much better than what any of the people being trolls could do. I love watching your videos and i wish I was as talented and knowledgeable as you all. I hope you dont let the negative comments get you down.
"looks like a dolphin" LOL always good banter on your videos
Your carving skills are underrated in my opinion. The ripples added so much and could have gone really wrong. Thanks for the video
Nice video xD
Nailed the ripple effect on the dolphin table.
At a quick glance I was sure your shirt said Temu build. 😂
I’m impressed. Wayyyyyy better than the last one.
Next time do a transforming desk with a bunch of hidden guns, a bazooka and grenades. Also a beer cooler.
Totally agree - John do a 6'-7' tall bookshelf or hutch with hidden firearm storage!! NOT like the safe, conventional crap all over TH-cam. Something unique and Maleckified
I think my only comment suggestion on this much improved shark table top is that instead of painting the shark's eyes black, hollow it out a little and use just jet black epoxy so you get that shine from the eyes. Sharks have those freakishly black shiny eyes....other than that....two fins up! Awesome redemption from the last table.
This is awesome, John. I've swum, snorkeled & dove with sharks and it looks amazing. It evokes many memories. Well done you lot.
I've never commented on one of your videos before, but i think this is by far the coolest thing you have made. The ripples in the blue pour are excellent.
Absolutely the best wood sharphin I’ve ever seen!!
Head popping out would be cool, also if you gave it the pectoral fins, would've looked bad ass! But that being said, I think you did a fantastic job! Looks awesome! The waves were a great addition, for sure!
Sharks have battle scars! Yours is too pristine. Wonderful build!
You have to make another with the head popping out! This turned out so goood!
The ripples are incredible, I love this! 🦈
I've never wanted a table more in my life!
That was ridiculously cool! The ripples made it look awesome! Great work guys!
Looks absolutely amazing!! Good work man seriously. It'd be really cool to see one done up for the navy and put a submarine in there!!
I must say this is a masterpiece! Unique, gorgeous, dramatic! I'd put this in my living room and I'm sure all my visitors would praise it and want it too! Great work, wonderful art piece!
Looks awesome! Love to see the dolphin head popping out showing its teeth.
Sick lookin dolphin 🐬 dude.... actually turned out fantastic. Nice work.
Im so ready for part 3!
Killer table and video. So much better than the first attempt (which is usually the case). I think it would be cool to see Blake @ BMSculptures carve something cool, and you find a way to incorporate that into an epoxy build. Maybe auction it off for charity? Somehow get Cam involved @ Blacktail too. Good work John.
Something that has helped me with maple is “pre-staining.” Use a color that either matches or is close to your desired color and sand/scrape most of it off. Like 65-70% Let it dry and then stain it again. This process has given great results. I hope this helps!
Nice dolphin table, mate! Must be handy for all those under-the-sea dinner parties!
I was worried about trying to carve in the wave stuff.. but I'm glad you did. Turned out siiiick and adds so much motion to it
This came out awesome!!
Great job! Next one should be a shark coming out from the water catching a seal, that would be awesome.
That table came out sick, I like the waves.
This is so lovely! You performed a fantastic job. Although I wasn't among those who thought the last table was terrible, I must admit that I'm thrilled you created a second version of the shark table because it's awesome!
LOVE it. I can't imagine anyone not wanting a table like that. Head popping out sounds like it would be taking it up another notch.
Can't believe you got through the whole video without a baby shark reference. Totally killed it on the table though. Looks amazing.
This one is WAY better than the other one! Super cool looking!
Very nice, that’s thinking outside the box. Great job
The Bowing lines from the shark really tied it all together, beautiful art work 💯
Looks great! I think one way to make it look more realistic would be if the shark looked like it was in motion instead of like a shark shaped submarine.
Me here just an admirer of woodworking skill as I can only frame a wall that looks good because everything gets covered.... Dude! That is the sickest thing I've ever seen and I love it! Awesome job! You make it look way too easy
crystallization is something that occurs with all epoxy (side A), it can happen without warning but typically occurs when stored someplace below 60F. It can be reversed, put the sealed containers in a hot water bath and get the material inside up to 130F, shake every 20 minutes, and once its flowing smooth, let it cool back to room temp and use as normal.
Coolest dolphin table I have ever seen! For the next table, you should do a shark head coming out!
But really, awesome job!
Definitely hit that sweet spot with carving the ripples on the epoxy. Very nicely done. I think the only thing I found more wild than the table was the fact that a file exists to CNC a shark lol
Also I second the hippo table idea someone suggested. Hippos are waaaaay scarier than sharks!
This looks awesome! Would love to have it! Can’t wait to see shark table 3.0 with the head exposed!
Definitely 1,000 times better than the first one. My only critique would be to wonder if the eyes should be that round and the fact that it does kinda look like a dolphin (with a little bit of an attitude, LOL). I vote for the "head sticking out of the water" idea; just enough to show the teeth, which would make it look more shark-y.
Also, just a thought - when you place it into/onto the blue layer, what if you set it down a little bit behind where you ultimately want it, then drag it forward just a little. I'm thinking that might add to the look of the bottom of the shark moving forward and leaving a "trail" in the blue part. That said, the carving of the transparent layer really took it to another level!! Nice job!
Im a car guy watching car related stuffs... and somehow here i am watching wood working... 3am algorithm really hits differently.... im hooked watching his vids
That was super amazing. Very talented. I love shark week so much. I watched it with my dad when I was a kid and watched it every year with my kids. This year I’m watching with my grandkids again.
this was a huge improvement and came out awesome! Heck yeah would love to see an escalation in difficulty for sure! Can't wait to see it.
This is a fantastic table, nobody can deny this. GREAT JOB! Love seeing the work & dedication that goes into these. But why is a shark in a river? 😂 Next up Alligator table!
The wave carving came out EXCELLENT 💯💯💯
One of my favorite builds on the channel, the ripple carving really elevated it 🔥
Hooray for learning and growing as an artist! Congratulations on the sick dolphin carving turning out so well.
You killed it. It's that simple! Good job guys!
Great table! I like that you took your own approach to the project vs how you tackled the first table and using your strengths really paid off. I also have liked seeing more of the metal work in your builds.
I started watching your content a little while ago and I have to say I am feeling more and more inspired as I dig into your older videos!
John's next project: replacing the flooring?
Downs Shark had me rolling 🤣
There's nothing like waking my husband up to excitedly tell him we need a shark table with absolutely zero context 😂
Head popping out table, too, please! 😍😍😍 I love this one! It's so dang interesting ❤
Seeing Sam in these videos is comforting even though he has a personality I could probably never befriend 😂😅
I think 3rd times a charm here my dude !! Cross the first one with the flatter head with the second one, vahla !! Nice ripple effects. You guys kick ass !!❤
