There are alot of elderly old farmers in Australia with no family or family not interested in taking on the farm or property after they pass away and they are looking for people to rent to buy their properties or rent and be a steward for the land under trust. I have friends there that have had their pick of properties under those specs there were 5 in the small town they are living in. It really depends where you want to live and how much work you are willing to put in. If the property you are looking at is pure desert but has old creek beds etc. There are grants and help to reverse desertify that land and there is a University there that will pay you to do so. There are ways and means but it is a huge amount of work and you have to be willing to put that in. But yeah its a great country its something we are looking at is coming home but there are a huge amount of considerations if we were to do that.

How many people have the cash to buy 1000+Acers. I live upper Murry and your right about the ageing population and no one to continue on. But unless your a multi multi millionaire you can't spend 2 million plus on a property just to live and prep on. I got 10 acers surrounded by 4000 Acers of dairy farm and back onto state Forest. But it's corporations buying ppl out so a normal bloke has zero chance

If I found myself in Australia, I would seek out the "Dream Time" people and learn to properly "walk about"..

@@UKUrbanPrepper Not really as my reply will likely be deleted as happened with one I posted on another of your videos so I was wasting my time.
Certainly I don't see living in some ice block country as being an improvement on here in a SHTF situation for a start.
Seems the focus is mostly on certain things and not the basics.

@@UKUrbanPrepper Strangely I have had some of the most pleasant of posts deleted and others that weren't.
The one I had deleted on your video was actually very complimentary so who knows.
That along with all the ads these days is making watching some videos hard work and posting comments a waste of time sometimes.
I don't think that I'm particularly controversial with what I post and I see other posts with swearing or whatever that get left up.
      Oh well.

@@oldbloke204 Glad that its not just me, I have had a few posts go "missing " on here as well. It does make you wonder why you are actually bothering to pass on help or knowledge
