    Nice video, it was fun to the history visualised with Age of Empires 2, have you played the Agincourt level?
    Just a note, from all accounts the English suffered very minor casualties with a few hundred or so casualties, with the death of the Duke of York being the most important man being slain. Whereas the French lost thousands of men of both nobles and commons with one source the Deeds of henry V, stating the French lost 3 dukes, 5 counts, 90 barons, 1500 knights and 4000-5000 men killed or wounded with two dukes captures, 3 counts, the marshal and several other noblemen.
    The prisoners also posed a threat because they were so many, of them a breakout by the French prisoners mid-battle could result in the English army being attacked on both sides.

    • @historyforgamers
      @historyforgamers ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you very much for your comment Daniel, I'm glad you liked the video. No, I haven't played the Agincourt historical battle in AoE2.
      I agree with you about the information you provide about the battle of Agincourt. Regarding the number of casualties, I do not give that information in the video because I consider that it may be too many numbers for most people.

Also, I would love to play Ottoman Expansion in Europe, and then when Europe fights back to drive the Ottoman out once and for all.
      Hope, it is not too much to ask for. Fingers crossed. But, I love the way you make these great Historical Events playable.
      Also, since I am from India, can you make a set of campaigns when Shivaji and his descendants strike (the Islamic Mughal/Mongols back and defeat them in Delhi (Formally known as Indraprastha before Islamists defeat Indraprasth)). By taking India back from foreign invaders until European Powers such as Portuguese, French, and British arrived in India and defeated the Marathas (Descendants of Shivaji). I appreciate the feedback and I'll keep in mind about making the custom campaigns you say, but for now I'm focused on making battle videos and it takes me a long time to make each one. Thank you so much anyway!

    (...) "This story shall the good man teach his son;
    And Crispin Crispian shall ne'er go by,
    From this day to the ending of the world,
    But we in it shall be rememberèd-
    We few, we happy few, we band of brothers;
    For he to-day that sheds his blood with me
    Shall be my brother; be he ne'er so vile,
    This day shall gentle his condition;
    And gentlemen in England now a-bed
    Shall think themselves accurs'd they were not here,
    And hold their manhoods cheap whiles any speaks
    That fought with us upon Saint Crispin's day."

    I was about to write a comment about how this is the only sane mobile-gaming community i've ever come across... then i realized age of empires is not a mobile game...
    To someone who never heard of it tho, it sure looks like it, from a glance XD

    • @I_enjoy_some_things

      There are a number of mobile ads out there that rip off Age of Empires. They either steal footage or just copy it. It's all pretty interesting tbh.
      AoE 2 is one of the greatest games of all time haha. Not even “it might be one of” - it is.
      The current version of the game is “Age of Empires 2: Definitve Edition, released in 2019. There’s a healthy pro scene, healthy Twitch scene, and tons of content on TH-cam covering the game. It ranks around #50 on the Steam Charts for active player count. Pretty sick. Annnd it still gets updates :)
      Its fanbase also spans the globe. The United States/Argentina/Brazil/Mexico/France/Germany/Spain/Norway/the UK/China, the list goes on.
      Interestingly, Age of Empires 1 [one] is like…the national game of Vietnam - kind of like StarCraft is/was for South Korea.

    Since I have played AoE3 as my first game from that serie, tbh I found AoE2 and 1 hard to play due to graphics. AoE3 had more fluency and I liked it's gameplay more.

      @historyforgamers ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It happened to me the other way, I guess because of my age 😁, I started with AoE1 and then in order until 4 and personally AoE2 seems the best by far. In any case, I do plan to use AoE3 to do more modern battles.
      Thanks for the comment!

    This could be historically inaccurate and I would never know! :P Wikipedia's Siege of Harfleur page says up to 5,000 died of dysentery and 1,300 were invalided home. whereas you say 2,000 died and 2,000 returned home.

      I do my own research on each battle and consult various sources to be more realistic. Also, I don't trust 100% what appears on Wikipedia.

    i really like your take on teaching history but after being used to more professional youtubers i find a few things you could improve if possible; adding infographs, maps, character portraits here and there would do much to help showing the bigger picture behind and around the topic of the video, especially with details you don't put in your scenarios
    also, i know not everyone is up to it but having a real voice doing the narration would improve understanding as well, your bot is quite dull and has trouble saying names, sometimes it's difficult to follow
