its not luck, you just need to delay your jump a bit probably around 100-300 milliseconds

After you laugh clip, hold jump without shifting (don't forget to play in 3rd person) You'll notice that your character is slanted then just wait a bit and the little part of the head will pass through the platform, it's time for you to shift.

Just wait for the head to pass through a little bit before shifting (after going under the platform, i recommend not to shift already, probably wait for 10 sec or more, depends how long the head will pass through)
