Hi there, I’m planning to buy a 2011 335i with N55 engine. There is a little wastegate rattle on the cold start that goes away but I’d personally fix it if I buy the car. What are my options? Will I have to replace the entire turbo assembly or can it be repaired?
Hi Alex, unfortunately you will have to pull the turbo to change out the waste gate bushing assembly. These are very tricky to do and require very good tolerances to avoid failure.
