i just want to say this is an incredible KWV TXHIAJ. It has so much meaning however you take it. I don't know how to sing these folk songs but I know how to appreciate them. Good job, Yan Xiong, you are truly talented. I hope you use your talents to better the lives of our Hmong people. Keep up the good work !!
I think I am in love, For the first time ever I love to listen to Hmong Kwv Txhiaj and appreciated what Yan Xiong have sung. so much talents and a beautiful woman at that.
musicfreakts Great! That traditional singer is a Miao Shi (similar to Hmong Green in USA). She speaks very clear in H'mong and lover her sings very much.
The "pov pob" part is only a single verse of many in the whole song - attributed to young adults and their courtship. More importantly, she practically covered key elements of a Hmong New Year in the song - giving it a global appeal - indiscriminate of region, country, or unique practices. A beautiful song filled with blessings if you know and understand Hmong - not necessarily "kwv txhiaj". I don't sing yet understood the song perfectly, practically word for word. Very nice - beautiful vocal.

TheMiaoKingdom - thank you for uploading this video. Anyhow, do you know why Hmong in China don't have "ball tossing" during the Hmoob Xyoo Tshiab/Hmong New Year. Whenever I click on the "Show Video Statistics" button just below/bottom right of the video, I notice that not many people in China view this Hmong/Chinese videos. It's always just Hmong in America and Laos that make up the most views. Maybe the Hmong in China don't have access to everyday Internet in their part of the world.
99% of the words she uses are used in our Hmong American/Hmong Lao dialect. Only one word, Tian-Theej-Heaven is in Chinese Mandarin. Some of you can't hear the words because we are not used to singing these certain words in these tones of music. Also, the words are composed a bit differently from Hmong Lao. Follow the song with the words I wrote a few months ago and you'll see, these are words that most Hmong kwvtxhiaj singers and ceremony hosts use during weddings/funerals.
I wonder why she sung about pov pob many people said that hmong in China are not pov pob only hmong in Vietnam, Laos, Thaland are pov pob. she is from Guang Xi maybe hmong in Guang xi pov pob also
hey bro or sister i am addicted to youtube but still so rooky on what you just said who view the video, i don't see the botton. honestly you may have to teach me.
@drHmong199 She actually uses more words that Hmong Americans would understand. If you don't understand this, you really just need to study the Hmong language some more.
